Ball Joints...

Do they sell aftermarket Balljoints? I did a little search and didn't anything on aftermarket ball joints.

Do they really only sell lower ball joints with the control arm and that's all?

I am doing the LS1 Brake Conversion and figured I might as well put on new ball joints because the car has 123k.

Does anyone know where to get them fast? Anyone know a reasonable price for them?

Moog carries both the upper and lower ball joints. Uppers are easy to replace; lowers can be a pain to press in and out.

You think I can get them from an Autozone or Advanced Auto? You think I should if I can?

I have know idea how mechanically inclined you are, so I can't provide a recommendation.

you can get both the upper and lower for an lt1 car at advance auto i know because i work there while im in college i dont remember the prices though

I have some moog balljoints in my lcas no noise or anything but yeah a bitch to install.

I put some lowers in mine from Advanced Auto.

As mentioned befor the uppers are easy, the lowers are a PITA. I have my own press and they're still difficult because of the angles created by the lower A-arm and the fact that there isn't much material on the "outbound" side of the ball joint. If you have access to various press fixtures and different diameters of pipe it's a little easier. I've also used the ball joint press tool that you can rent from AZ. It's nothing more than a large c-clamp with round fixtures, it works but it ain't fun.

If I ever replace my ball joints they are coming in a pair of BMR replacement parts. The front shocks were enough for me......

upper and lower are both available from Advanced Auto Parts. The Upper is $20-40 and the lower is $10-20. Price range is depending on which quality ball joint you get.

I like the Spohn units, you can order them pre-installed with Moog ball joints, at any rate pressing ball joints in a tubular arm is easier.

I ordered my Moog Ball Joints through Spohn.
I have an extra set of lowers sitting at home in a box.
