cn97z28 03-21-2006, 04:26 PM Me and a friend were coming home from an OTB just cruising along and noticed a red/black car coming fast up behind me. He pulls along side and starts jumping his car back and forth. Had a couple of cars infront of me, so I got in behind him we move infront of the slower cars. We both slowed down hoping to catch the light up ahead, but it turned yellow as we went through it.:mad: So, he got over in the right lane, I pulled aside him, look over, and he has the same sh!t grin on his face as i do.:D We both go WOT at 40; he instantly inched a few feet on me, but then I pulled on him, put 3-4 car lengths on him, and let off at about 85ish. :p
He got behind me and I turned into a shopping parking lot to see if he wanted to chat, but they went straight and the passenger gave the :thumb: and I did the same. He had alot of lower body work done to his car,looked nice,nothing outrageously riced IMO. Did not realize what kind of car it was til I got behind him before we raced.:think: I wanted to see what mods he had done; cause his exhaust was not stock. Anyways, it was a good little race..;)

He was saying how his tiburon would beat me soooo badly, and then said "ok lets go to the 400 right now and we will see!". I'm like "Ok lets f*cking go!". Hes like "well ya see (he's a volunteer firefighter and also works at a corrections facility) if I get caught, IM getting out of it". I looked at him, said "What makes you think im getting CAUGHT? I'm f*cking running.." Then he rabbled some more, said he only races his STOCK TIBURON at the track :blah:
EDIT: And only the newer 2.7's or whatever only came w/ 170hp; most have the 2.0 with 140hp :lol:

John M 03-22-2006, 03:51 AM That is the v6! They have decent looks, a 6spd, but no power because they use Hyundai's old design v6. If they went to at least the new Sonata's 235hp v6 it'd help them tremendously.
I'd like to try swapping in the 265hp 3.8 liter v6 from the Azera. That'd give them a sporty coupe to talk about.
