what labor time should i be looking at for a rad? im gonna go get some qoutes today, just seeing what you guys think it should be on a 96 A4. Also besides there timing, how long would it take for me to do it? My last rad in a eclipse went, i got quoted an hour, but it only took me about 20 minutes. But im lazy now and just want to let someone else deal with it.

In an lt1...... An hour is probably doable if you have done it before. 2 hours if you never have.
But then like spark plug wires if you get hung up it could take all day. lol.
Its not bad at all.

When I did it it ended up taking me a week due to looking for various parts, ended up replacing all the hosest, the thermostat, the water pump, the temp sensor in the water pump and the radiator. Doing it in an hour would be easy, the hardest part of changing it is putting the damned thing up on jackstands.

Yes jack stands.
I take fans out through the bottom, then rad/condenser out the top. With my electric water pump I don't think the fans could come out the top.

^^^ do it just like that - fans out the bottom and radiator out the top. If is a very easy process. Just disconnest the hoses and out it goes. It is not even bolted in. Make sure you have an extra set of hands to help remove it under control.

Last time I took my radiator out it took me 15 minutes. It's very easy to do (I had it out once before this).
