Is Zaino ZFX required?

hey everyone...
I am very new to Zaino, in fact, my first line of the stuff will be later on in the month. However, I was looking over the line of products featured have it narrowed down to some of the more 'essential' ones *I'm on a high school budget here ;) * and have come up with the following:
1. Z1 Polish Lok
2. Z2 Show Car Polish for clear coats
3. Z5 Polish for swirlmarks and small scratches
4. Z6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer
5. Z7 Show Car Wash
? - ZFX Flash Cure Accelerator Additive

My question obviously comes up about the ZFX. Is it necessarily required or it just for the sake of time? I see is pushed very heavily on newer Zaino'ers as a 'must-have', but at $19.95 it's one Zaino's most expensive products and I don't want to spend that much on something that is just going to save a little time and not help the finish that much/if at all. Also, I see on some lists that the detailing experts have placed in response to some of the newer Zaino'er threads about must-haves, I hardly ever see the Z1 Polish Lok. Why is this? Is it not that necessary, either? Thanks alot, I can't wait to try this stuff!

If you have the Z-1, you do not need the ZFX. Both are activators for the Z-2 and Z-5. So just save some money and just get the Z-1.

The ZFX does have other benefits too.(originally from Sal Zaino)

The new Zaino product will be an accelerative additive that can be
mixed with Z-2, Z-3 or Z-5....

Below are just a few of the improvements....

1. When mixed as per directions, you will not need to apply Z-1...
2. It will reduce the drying time, thus making the polish more user
friendly in damp environments...
3. It will increase the gloss factor and extend the durability level..
4. It will have an instant cure time, so you can immediately apply
multiple coats.. No more waiting between coats...
5. And more........

ZFX is a killer product, but not necessary. I usually use ZFX on every coat of polish, even when doing just one coat. However, I do still use and like Z1 and I feel it has it's own benefits too. It's up to you though in what you need. If you want to apply multiple coats in 1 day or need faster drying time, ZFX is the way to go. Of course, ZFX also enhances the appearance of Z2/Z5, especially after 3 coats back to back.

For the budget minded, I'd say start with the Z1 route, then once you're familiar with the Z system and have more time and cash, you might move over to ZFX. I personally like both products!
