I think the rims and wing look good but i have never been a fan of aftermarket ground-effect kits.

Funny thing...

Saturn's SOLE plant is here in Tennessee, about 30 min. south of Nashville in a community called Spring Hill.

Saturn has been all over the local news here lately because they've been caught using local roads in Maury County and Spring Hill for "test tracks".

Correction: The Saturn L-Series is built in GM's old Wilmington, Delaware factory - the same place that used to turn out Chevettes, Olds 88s and Corsicas. So much for the Saturn concept.

Anyway, this new Saturn is enough to underwhelm any redblooded muscle car enthusiast. Better looking than the Toyota Celica? That beauty contest is a real race to the outhouse.

The good news is that future Ion owners can kick their cars to their heart's content. Those "dent-proof" tupperware body panels are good for something, I guess.

Keep the wheels and start from scratch on the rest.

I like how someone responded to the whole car with this simple comment:

"i like that paint job "

I agree. The paint job looks good.

Is it my thing? Nah. But for factory rice, that's a nice little package there. And if its getting the supercharged Ecotec we're talked about, then I think its going to sell well.

I guess Im in the minority here, but I really like the way that looks aside from the little swooshy thing in the door. It kinda gives me a gen1 DSM feel.

Again, I'm sure it will appeal to the import crowd, but I don't see it as having any design legs (example: how classic does a 1994 Mustang look now compared to a well kept '93?).
