Snapped a wheel stud on the rear of my 99 F-body. I have TCS so I have a damper behind the backing plate of the parking brake. It looks like a sproket and its partially blocking the back of the studs. Does anyone know how to replace these stud with out removing the axle. I posted this same question on the wheel forum but only got one answer of removing the axle and really don't want to do that. Any suggestions?

Are you not able to put the car in neutral, and spin the wheel so that the stud can be tapped out? I don't have TCS so i could be all wrong. I probably am. Hopefully someone else chimes in.

no matter where you spin it the damper is still in the way.

The stud can be easily beat out with a baby sledge hammer. However if there is no clearance for the stud to be removed it sounds like you will need to pull the axle.

Pulling the axle is very easy to do, In fact it will probobly take longer to remove the brakes than it does to disconnect the axle.
