Come on WS6 LS1...give up so easy?

Coming home late the other night and a guy with a white LS1 WS6 is in front of me and I follow him for a good chunk. It was on the way home and the roads were a little damp so I expected nothing to happen.

So out of the blue he hits it about 70 mph and then I hit...I was not expecting it so I give chase and start pulling him down slowly.

Since he got the jump and I then start pulling him down, he is going to have problems with my Lightning from a even start.

So I pull up next to him and motion to slow down...slow down to 50 mph, we both hit it and I started pulling away pretty easy with him giving up after a few seconds...how lame?

Add another LS1 to my list of kills in my Lightning, even if the race was for a brief time.

Another one struck down. Good kill. Anything new going on with the truck this season or is the Z taking the spot light for the year?

Nah...just racing people when they hit it at the same time must not agree with him. :D

On a damp road I wouldnt be able to goose my LS1 or it would just break free dangerously.

Ironic he had no issue hitting before I spanked him.

Trying having 500+ lbs of torque instantly on street tires like my Lightning....

Believe the L was axed for good after various tests and problems w/ the what was thought to be next generation one. Good Kill, if you running 12.6's though sounds like the LS1's you have encountered have been lightly modded.

Don't see the lightning on the Ford site anymore. Are they gonna make them in the future? I've really been thinking of getting one but I want it new

Im pretty sure you could talk Cantonracer into selling you his lightning. Judging by his race with the transam he would probably want toget rid of that pig :D . J/K. Hold on to that cuz those are already hard to come by atleast round here.

Try it? My LS1 makes 480+ lb ft torque. It usually traps 120mph on stret tires.
I understand the issue. Been there done that.

480 lbs out of an LS1 with those mods? Seems kinda high...

I think he mean at the crank. If not, then he either a) sprays a small shot or b) is delusional.

Well if that is the case...I am making around 650 lbs of torque at the crank...

Have it on tape jackass. Also have pictures of the car running thrue the traps at 120. No kidding. Stock heads, no NOS,no delusions.

There is a link here for the car running a 11.8 and I can produce pictures as well for traps.
