Why the HELL wasnt I INVITED!! *walks away sulking* :p :D Jason E 03-11-2006, 10:03 AM I love it...I can't remember the last time an ATTN: email got this much response...gentlemen, I'm flattered... And wondering when this thing gets locked :D 1stls1 03-11-2006, 10:14 AM What's a PM? J/K Its been so long sense I had 1. Thread still going, going, goin, goi,go, g , .... 97z28/m6 03-11-2006, 02:27 PM hey jason i saw a GXP with snows on it last week. been meaning to tell you:shame: Jason E 03-11-2006, 02:42 PM This is like a lounge thread that invaded the 5th gen board :D A PM is a Private Message, to answer someone from above. 97Z28, I am eyeing the silver GXP we have on the lot right now. I assume the GXP had OEM wheels on it? I'd hate to get those polished wheels crudded up in the snow...when I was going to buy the '05, I desparately wanted to find aftermarket wheels to run snows on...and could not. I still want one...real, real bad :( If I end up becoming a DCX dealer Sales Manager though (my interview is in 4 days!! :D ), I won't need any daily driver though, and will sell my Grand Prix :( Needless to say, my Camaro will go nowhere, and I actually hope I can buy a 3rd with the equity in the GP and the savings by not having a monthly payment!!! DCXs as a job, F bodies as a hobby :) 97z28/m6 03-11-2006, 03:15 PM This is like a lounge thread that invaded the 5th gen board :D A PM is a Private Message, to answer someone from above. 97Z28, I am eyeing the silver GXP we have on the lot right now. I'd hate to get those polished wheels crudded up in the snow...when I was going to buy the '05, I desparately wanted to find aftermarket wheels to run snows on...and could not. I still want one...real, real bad :( nope black steel rims and thats what caught my eye and then i noticed the snow tires on it. i have no idea where they got them but if i do i'll let you know. Jason E 03-11-2006, 07:44 PM PLEASE do let me know. After responding to your PM, eyeing the GXP got to be too much for me. Today was mid 60s and sunny, so I HAD to go for a little spin in the GXP :D 30 minutes later, I came back with an evil grin on my face, and my Sales Manager asked no questions...just smiled ;) I lust after that car. Torque steer or no, I don't care. It looks right, it drives right, it SOUNDS RIGHT, I love all the features, the Monsoon stereo sounds awesome with AC/DC's Hells Bells at full blare...I want this car. And the sad thing is? If I do get this new job, I doubt I'll ever own one :( I am a firm believer that people should drive what they sell. Customers have more faith in you if you put your money where your mouth is, and drive your own product. I'm pushing to get a used SRT-4 or Charger R/T as a demo :D And at that point, there's no point for a daily driver... SFireGT98 03-13-2006, 08:15 PM I'm pushing to get a used SRT-4 or Charger R/T as a demo :D And at that point, there's no point for a daily driver... You lucky bastage! Both of those cars would be fun. Good luck with the interview, hope you get the job man. Flip94ta 03-14-2006, 10:30 AM Speaking of black steel wheels, toyota is offering them on the new FJ, I think now that the bling factor is dropping black steel wheels are gonna be in style. I can picture Nashville Metro Police Impalas on bricks with black steel wheels and goodyears missing. BTW I have yet to see a V-8 GXP in nashville, seen 3 solstices, couple V-spec caddys and 6.1L mopars, RAM srt'8's etc. Are the V-8s selling? Maybe its cause I'm in a RWD market. Jason E 03-14-2006, 11:50 AM 98, Thanks...I go for the interview tomorrow! I'm really excited...she's already planning to hire me apparently, despite the fact I haven't even formally interviewed yet :D All we have to hash out is salary and the demo issue, and I'm all set. What I hope to do is go to an auction right after I start, and grab a car for myself. It probably won't be an SRT-4, because I'll have a 100 mile round-trip drive every day. While I love SRT-4s, they are NOT a highway car...I need something with less NVH, better MPG, and I imagine most SRT-4s pull big $$ at the auction (guess I'll find that out). With that said, in an attempt to ensure a demo, I need something a little cheaper, and obviously Chrysler. I'm thinking a 2-3 year old Stratus or Sebring coupe with a 5 speed...I almost bought an '03 red Sebring 2.4/M5 new back in '03, and it was an awesome little car. To get that car as a demo (I prefer it over the Stratus) would be awesome, and the MPG would be pretty good... | ||
