5TH GEN life cycle

If the car is approved for production, how long do you guys think its life cycle should be?

I know i'm thinking a little to far ahead, but where does the car go from there, should it be a 3rd to 4th gen style transition(where the 6th gen would be a vastly improved 5th gen with a different more finished exterior). Or should the car take a different coarse; say more 2nd gen split bumper style!

Hit me with opinions, and more importantly if this is just to far to look ahead HIT ME for real and tell me to shut up

In todays times with fuel the way it is and the need for new ways to run things who knows what we will see in 10 years. To far ahead to worry about right now. Lets be happy at a chance to relive the muscle car days while we can.

Thats the toughest part with a retro car, what style to go with next???

I'm curious as to what the next mustang could look like?

The new Mustang should look like an updated fox body. That would be the most badass thing ever. Only a dream though. I'm no Mustang fan by any means but definitely a fox body fan.

Back to our car....

I agree with the above post, 5 years with major restyle then all new car about 4 or 5 years after. None of this 10 year lifecycle crap GM fed us for 32 years.

That sounds about right, but with special editions or little updates almost every year

I don't really like the special editions every year kinda thing...I mean yeah, it gives certain rarity and exclusivity, sort-of, but it just waters it down too...I think its just lame...

Although I do agree, totally new chassis and everything within 10 years.

I would rather see minor updates every 2 years and a major overhaul in 12.

What if Camaro replaces Monte Carlo in NASCAR? They could do a Special Edition for a different driver each year; for instance if it was out now, they could do a Tony Stewart version since he's reigning Nextel Cup champion.

If the car's intimidating, it don't need no stinking badges!
