12th Annual Cops & Rodders Car Show-North Brunswick NJ

This year the Batmobile will be on display

Last year we had alot F-Bodys participate in the caravan into the Cops and Rodders Car show, and had over 50 F-Bodys in the Show, and a total of over 350 cars show up in bad weather-!

In 2003 & 2004 we had over 600 cars total in the show

Pictures from 2003 and 2004 (http://community.webshots.com/user/tangotwo)

All F-Bodys meet at the Sears parking lot at 7:30am on April 30th.

We will meet up there, then head over to the show as a group.

The Sears is located on Route One southbound, just south of Route 18.

EMail me at NBP555@AOL.com and I will EMail you back a Registration form.

The North Brunswick NJ Police Dept Death, Retirement, Widows & Orphans Fund will be holding our 12th Annual Cops and Rodders Car Show on Sunday, April 30th 2004.

Last year we had over 350 cars at the show, and is growing each year.

It will be held at the DeVry University on Route One northbound, mid way between Route 130 and Route 18 on April 30th, with a rain date of May 7th.

All Pre-registered Vehicles are guaranteed a Plaque.
Pre-registration is $15.00, and must be received by April 21st .

On site registration is $18.00 the day of the event

Anyone wishing a Registration form or has any questions can EMail me at NBP555@AOL.com, and I will send it out.

Most of the Information is on the Registration Form, but I'll give you some highlights here.

This is the 12th year of the show. Our 1st year we had 88 cars show, and it has been building every year. Last year we had well over 350 cars show in bad weather, making us one of the BIGGEST shows around for what we are. We usually draw over 600 cars to the event.
All kinds of cars show up, both old and newer. Everyone likes the mix of cars that show up, and that it is early in the year, where people are itching to the their rides outta the garage.

There is no "official" judging of cars. We give out trophys, but regular people give them out to the cars they like.

If your group would like to give out trophys amongst your club, you can do that. You can bring your own, or buy Trophy(s) from us to give out your group. The cost of a Trophy from us is $150. Where we make the money for the fund is from Trophy sales, food, shirts. Clubs in the past have collected money from it's members, and bought the trophy(s) from us to give as they wished amongst their club. If you'd like to buy trophy, let me know.

Admission for spectators is free.

Registration fee is $15 per car if you Pre-Register before April 21st.

Registration fee is $18 at the gate the day of the show.

ALL Pre-Registered cars will receive a Plaque.

Also the day of the show, as you enter, we take a picture of you in your car, and we put it in a Plaque that you can purchase if you like.

We also sell food and shirts at the show.

The date of the show is April 30th, with a rain date of May 7th.

It starts at 9am, and ends at 2pm. Try to show up before 9am, as it takes time to get over 600 cars into the show.

It is held at the DeVry University, which is on Route One northbound in North Brunswick, midway between Route 130, and Route 18.

Anything else you need, let me know at NBP555@AOL.com

I am coordinating the F-Bodys for the show, so go through me for any questions you may have.

So who's going? This is my 5th year and I always have a great time. We've started a tradition on having F-bodies dominate the show.

I'm even bringing my car vacuum to clean up the crumbs after 'The Carol' gets done eating?

Ron bring plenty of tire gloss in case Big Show puts his Tarus wagon in the show.

JeffH, Ed, Danny, Where is everybody???

Bob, I got an old steering wheel. I can send it to you so when Ed is driving, you'll have something to "steer" while you're shotgun...

Actually you should tell Ed your going to drive it. That way he'll clean it for you...

I guess you're going to smack me when you see me...

Everytime I clean my car it is an offical rain dance!

Oh come on, it's fun, we do this every show: Get up wash the car, dye, drive to Sears, wave to The Carol all dry and warm in the 97TA, dye car, drive to show, wave to The Carol all dry and warm in the 97TA dry car, detail for an hour, go get coffee and Doughnut, then = Rain = wave to The Carol all dry and warm in the 97TA and dry car and redetail.

Around 10am when your arms about to fall off, the Carol comes out, sees her shadow and predicts 8 more hours of sunshine! And the show is offically on! ;)

Then around noon, everyone go to the photo stand and ask the guy if he has your picture yet, you know, the black F-body I think only one or two show up each year,,,,, :p

Hehehehehe... hey! I like that joke, it's funny every year.
"Hey you have any f-bodies? I'm looking for something in black, maybe a Trans Am this year.... hey, here's a nice one, hell the guy driving even kinds looks like me...."

News Flash: The Carol is planning on NOT attending this year. Homework / studying before the last class later in the week. There's pros and cons to everything. I'll miss her shrieking when I do a hole shot out of the NJ toll booth to head over the Delaware turnpike bridge, in what she though was going to be a suicidal "thread the needle" between two vehicles.... she whimpered down whens she realized it wasn't even close when I went through the two cars at "highway speed and rapidly climbing" in an 1/8 of a mile. Bahahahahaha.

Hey Ron buddy!

Looks like I won't be able to attend C&R unless they have a rain date.

I took a chance an entered the SS in the car show at DEI on Saturday during the 'Dale Earnhardt Day' celebration. They were picking 7 winners to enter their cars. Guess who got the call??!!!

Direction to the Sears/On-The-Border Lot:
It is located on Route 1 southbound, just south of Route 18 interchange.

From the NJ Turnpike:
Get off at Exit #9.
Once you go through the Tollbooth, keep right, onto to Route 18 north.
Once on Route 18, get over to the left, (following signs for Route 1 south), bear left around the curve, then get over to the right once on the bridge and take the ramp on the right to Route One south.
Once on Route One south, the Sears/On-The-Border Restaurant is right there on the right, right at the end of the ramp. We meet up in front of the SEARS Auto Center.

If for some reason your running real late or anything and miss us, if you keep heading south on Route 1, the Car Show will be down on the left about 1 mile past the Sears.

Yah go to DEI, win the show, gain national fame, have all the D.E. female groupies throwing themselves at up everywhere you go, As a special secret suprise, get to drive the Datona pace car (more women), make the cover of every car mag in the world ( even more women ),,,,, ay, you get the point

OR, go to C~N~R and bust BIG SHOWS butt for bringing his 1991 Ford Turas wagon in the show. :death: Ron, bring lots of tire shine! :o

It's a very difficult decision guys. :( If I had had more notice, it would have been much easier. But I wouldn't arrive until very late Friday night, and I'd have to be at DEI by 6AM Sat.. Knowing me, I'd arrive in Charlotte about midnight, spend an hour or two washing the car, get a couple hours sleep, and go to DEI where I'd finish prepping the car, and fall sound asleep through the whole thing. :(

Hey guys,
I'm F-body-less (is that a word?) and I'll be bringing a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass SX that I traded with 2000Blkta from this board. I'm hoping you wouldn't mind letting me in on the caravan. I got the local NJ people involved in the show, so I hope you guys won't mind my riding in with you? Let me know.

C&R was very nice :D

Ryan, took 3 rolls of film, didn't use a digital, sorry. Guess you'll have to meet up with us in person to see the pics.! :D

You missed Ron's "questionable behavior", ie.; leaving SEARS and driving beneather the underpass heading into DeVry. :D

John, ('Pampered Z') developed a header-gasket leak with his behavior.

Kids:rolleyes:

Saw Sal Zaino and his awesome ZO6, as well as a 'Dick Harrell' edition Camaro!
