Nick-LT1 03-03-2006, 12:54 PM Ok track opens in less then two weeks for me and everything i have is in the sig. What do you think it will run on BFG drag radials? I just dont want to get to the track and be dissappointed. What do you think? I want mid 12's. Is that possiable?
Nick-LT1 03-03-2006, 12:58 PM My car shifts at 6200 rpm also.
"White Knight" 03-03-2006, 01:18 PM What is the etc. at the end, is there more??
low 13's
LT193 03-03-2006, 01:37 PM im guessing 12.7 all day long with a good launch.
turbo_Z 03-03-2006, 02:03 PM Too many variables to "guess" so go run it and then youll know.
HardcoreRM125 03-03-2006, 02:10 PM High 12's if you are on stock heads.
A good 60 will make a huge difference though.
Nick-LT1 03-03-2006, 02:32 PM What is the etc. at the end, is there more??
low 13's
Low 13's??? I would be PISSED!!! my car went 13.5 at 102mph with just headers, cat-back, cold air intake, and that was with stock tune. I would hope to run mid 12's because i see people with just full bolt ons go high 12's all day.
Javier97Z28 03-03-2006, 03:28 PM No reason it shouldn't go low 12's in cool weather on 1.6 60'
With a smaller cam I went low 12's all day long.
1SlowFormula 03-03-2006, 03:35 PM Give some details of your track (Altitude, Baro, DA) if you want an accurate guess, but as you see most of that is day iof crap. But if your combo ran well it should be, mid - low 12's at my track in good weather...
Nick-LT1 03-03-2006, 04:58 PM THANKS for the last two guys that posted!!!! i was starting to get scared here. My biggest fear now is getting to the track and STILL be in the 13's!!! I am shooting for 12.6ish but you never know. Also Javier97Z28 do you have any weight reduction??
HardcoreRM125 03-04-2006, 12:46 AM What heads are you on? Their a bottle neck if their stock.
Also, you didnt post your bolt on times. There are alot of guys with bolt ons that run the same mph, but are barely into 13's. I was assuming your an average skilled driver, and basing it on a 2.0ish 60'.
I would be shocked, if with a competent driver, you didnt break 13's. And when I said high 12's, I mean thats where I would expect you to be at the very least. Realistically, on a tire like you will have, if you launch the **** out of it, seeing 12.0's is feasable. Seeing a broken rear end is too though;)
If you ran times like that with a bolt on car, Id expect at least a full second off, so low to mid 12's.
Please post your times when you get back.
And provide a better mod list lol. Etc. doesnt say alot.
camarolover20 03-04-2006, 01:01 AM I ran 13.5's at 104 with headers and lower control arms.That was with a high 2.2 60 time.So if I got the 60 foot in the 2.0's be low 13's all day.I would think u are in the 12's before the tires.So 12's here u come.We have a pretty good track here.
kingman109 03-04-2006, 01:07 AM id say you'd tag 12's - and for what its worth i was trapping 14.0 @ 102 with only headers and intake - good luck - this year my goal is mid 11's :D
LS1_03 03-04-2006, 01:47 PM Hard telling. I have long tubes, full 3" exhaust, no cat, 3.73s, built trans, 3200 stall, sfcs, moroso cai, and on e/t streets i could only get a 13.21@101 with a 1.70 60' But you got a cam. You should hit 12s easily.
Never go to the track expecting to hit a certain number. You'll walk away disappointed. :p
Nick-LT1 03-04-2006, 02:47 PM My car last your with morso intake mac mids, and slp loudmouth no tune on street tires in july ran like 3 13.5 at 102mph and a few 13.6 with 2.0 60'. The car had it share problems later that year with a high miss which later my fuel pump went out then after that my opti went out. So i dunno maybe it could have ran even better then that. I live in St. Louis and i go to Gateway Internation which is sea level and i except it to be in the 50's for my first run. My COMPLETE mod list would be Morso cold air, trick flow elbow, tb bypass, LT4 knock, mac mids, no cat, loudmouth, no egr, no air pump, 2800 midwest, transgo shift kit, tranny cooler, 3.73's, 1.6 rr, k-800 springs, cc306 cam, new timing chain, harden pushrods, decent tune, and will be running of BFG drag radials. I am really hoping for mid 12's but i will just be happy to run anywhere in the 12's. THANKS!!!!

From all that I gather that you ran 13.5 - 13.6 then added:
Converter, shiftkit, suspention components, and tires -.2 in your 60'
Cam, 1.6 RR's and a tune +30/40ish HP and also cutting about .1 off your 60'
My guess if everything was similar in weather the day you go to the track then you should drop to at least a 1.6-1.7 60' which would take you down to ~13.1 with nothing else, then add more power say 40 HP, and your gearing then you are looking at close to 12.5 or so as a comparison to what you ran before. Now through weather and repaired issues from the last run and that could add up to more on the topend pushing you deeper into the 12's.
So if I were a betting man and you suspension was set up correctly, then I would wager on you getting about a 1.63 60' and run a 12.37 @ about 106.5, what do I get if I win???
Nick-LT1 03-07-2006, 11:56 PM i would be happy as hell if my car ran that good!!!
1SlowFormula 03-08-2006, 08:05 PM When are you going to the track?
1SlowFormula 03-22-2006, 02:30 PM Nick, Did you ever make it to the track???
DarkHorse 03-23-2006, 07:37 PM Similar mods to my combo pre SC except:
I have a smaller GTP 4 cam 226/236 534/560 114lsa, I have LT's+E Wp but less gear (3.42). With 1.77 60's I went 12.3's-12.4's @ 110-113 in good decent weather.
Good weather, car running right and traction you should go low-mid 12's. My shorties were a big bottleneck on my car.
