I have a 1996 camaro with the 3.8L engine that has sent out the trouble code of P0441 which is Evaporative Emissions control System Incorrect purge flow. Can anybody tell me what this is and any fixes for it?

Check the plastic hose running from the top of the intake manifold passenger side -front to the rear of the alternator. It goes to an EVAP Purge Valve, and if the hose has a slight crack in it, it'll throw a code. might need replacing.

The first, and most simple, thing to check is the gas cap. If the seal is bad or it's not screwed down tight (3 clicks as a rule of thumb) then it can throw that code. Could also be the purge valve...$35 or so from the dealer and a piece of cake to replace. If you don't know where it is, the dealership will print off a highlighted diagram for you. Also could be your charcoal canister. Pull the vacuum line off of the purge valve and see if any charcoal comes pouring out or if the valve is blocked off by charcoal. If so, that's a sure sign of a bad canister and you'll also need to replace the purge valve.

Check the evap and all the vac lines. How does it idle?
