Opening day at MMP today and was hoping to improve on my 12.0 @ 116 from last season.

Best pass of the day was a 11.939 @ 118.32. This was with a 2.0 60'! I couldn't believe it did so well, with such a crappy 60' time.

Had another 11.968 @ 116.9 after a really strong headwind picked up. This was with a 1.964 60'.

I think its time for some E/T streets for the spare salad shooters I recently picked up and more traction. poor 10-bolt ;)

Yes, you need to work on your 60ft times, you're currently leaving about 2 to 3 tenths on the table with 1.9s. My car is a 97 LT1-A (NA) and the 60fts are around 1.65 to 1.7. However it will normally take more than just slicks for a great launch. A good adjustable torque arm, air bag, LCA relocation brackets and some front drag shocks should improve your 60fts 2 to 4 tenths.

I run the same mph, but with 1.55 60'....You'll be 11.50s with a little 60' help...Good job, any 11 second run is a good run!

Nice runs.. I'm hoping once I get my nitrous kit installed and a tranny rebuild w/ stall converter done, I will be in the high 11s as well.

nice runs, but dude, I been there done that.

First your clutch is going to DIE when you put on the slicks. (get a street twin)

Second, your 10 bolt is going to EXPLODE. (12 bolt time)

Third, your trans will take a dump. (rebuild)

So, save up some money they will eventually go on the juice and slicks.

I have been REALLY impressed with this SPEC stg 2, so if it dies, no biggie. It has given me 40k miles of fun. :) Also, I have rebuilt the T56 twice now, so no biggie on that either. The 10-bolt, eh...its a matter of time I know, but I dont plan on just dumping it out of the hole either.

Not my daily driver, so breaking parts isn't the end of the world...its kind of expected.

Nice runs. You should be able to go mid 11's with a 1.7 60' or better. Later Clint

I'm already considering going back to 3.73s, because I have to go to 5th with the nitrous and 4.10s...I hate it too. Missed 5th once on a pretty good pass.
