Mustang drivers cheaters???

Raced an 04 GT tonight with boltons and gears. He wanted to go from a rol... about 10 mph. To begin with he had a half car lead on me from the get go. I said to do 3 honks... he did one. By the time i got on the gas he was a car ahead of me... but don't fear. The ole ls1 kicked in and caught up with him and i beat him by about a cars length. I wasnt happy with the race though because i should have beat him by more. but what can you say... its a Rustang.

Don't sweat it. He jumped the count, and still lost... He should know he would have lost by that much more with a fair start. :thumb:

Yeah...let's lump every Mustang driver out there as a cheater because a guy you raced jumped you in one race.

Kinda like the ole 3rd gen stereotype......Come to think of it...that would apply to MOST of the Fourth Gens I have been seeing lately. Beat to hell and ragged out.

Come to think of it my healiner is sagging and my headlights do that aweful "grrrrrrrr" thing. New motor gears are on the way. Back to topic: It's funny that some people still think 99-04 m5 GTs are as fast as m6 LT1 s stock for stock, let alone LS1 s for that matter.

He probably knew he had to jump the count, LS1 has a huge advantage out of the gate over a 04GT

hah i didnt mean to get anything started... i mean we are on the CAMARO message boards. Are we not? I didn't mean to say every mustang driver is a cheater but this guy for sure was... and then after the race he told me he beat me which didnt make me to happy.

Of course you going to hear that from a Rustang owner with a gt. They are just mad they can't beat us; unless they pony has a supercharger in it.

im sure he had 4:10's thats why in 1st gear he would be taching out ready to punch it! but then once he reasches 3rd the 4.6 really shows its weakness

The dohc is like the LS1 in many ways as it has a 3rd gear high rpm pull like a freight train. :D

In the real world they are even stock for stock.
I still think it's funny every year the LT1 get's a tenth or two faster, and 10hp/tq more as the years go bye. :D

Yes we are in a CAMARO forum, and incase you guys forgot, mustangs are our rivals, of course there is gonna name calling, on both ends, harmless fun, just get over it. If someone talks **** about camaros it doesnt bother me, its when they personnally talk **** about mine, then you have a reason to be upset.

I wouldn't exactly call Mustangs our rivals. Maybe our dorky little cousin that tends to get beat up a lot, but not our rivals. :D J/K. (But that cousin also has a big brother that has thrown us around a time or two.)

Ever since people started throwing fart cans on economy cars, both camps have united. It's actually a really good thing, especially since we are about to have two of the best built cars out on the streets within the next few years. It looks like the domestics will be on top and staying on top for awhile.

But as you witnessed first hand, there are those people from both sides that act like a chump. Good kill. Let the weak think what they want.

Yea but they also discontinued some cool imports like the supra and 3000gt so whos to say maybe the japanese will get in on the whole retro thing and bring them back. But they did try to bring back the rx7 with the rx8 which doesnt even compare and the new eclipse looks like a '00 mercury cougar or a tiburon so they might drop the ball on the supra or 3000gt:shrug:

From what it looks like Toyota will be using Lexus as thier sports car line and Nissan has rumors of a turbo car coming in the next couple of years. Other than that I would say we are safe for now.

Oh, and for some reason the DSMers seem to slide somewhere in the middle.

Actually I only cheated my way through college. I felt so bad about it I did not even go to my College graduation. Still mustered an acceptable 2.2 GPA in General Studies..lol. In just a shade under a decade too. (Tommy boy)

I did cheat one time in a race but it was harmless. I was being setup by a couple of hustlers. I agreed to race a guys Lightning (I was told it was stock). The loser had to wash the winners car and fill his gas tank up. My brother found out he had a 100 shot installed 2 days before the race was going to go down. While the owner of the Lightning was at his girlfriends house me and my brother had another guy drop us off at his truck. I popped the hood and unscrewed the ground wire for the Zex box he had hidden under the CAI. (He painted the box black). Needless to say, we raced 2 hours later and I still only won by a half a car. He was pissed!!! I told him what we did after he finished washing my car. I didn't make him fill my tank though, that would have been wrong. AAHH good times!

hahaha thats some funny ****.i hate when people lie about their mods. ive had so many people race me and lie about what **** they have done to their car. so i basically dont have a clue what i have been racing. but yeah thats funny you went by and unhooked the groundwire. thats acceptable that you cheated though i sure would have to. i heard the lightnings are pretty bad ass.
