its a 1/3 size of the original crank pulley which SHOULD save some power
but i was wondering since it spins more it might wear out quicker?

is it the crank and alternator pulleys or just the crank underdrive pulley?

They prolly have a water pump pulley available as well.

The crank was difficult to me, because I couldn't fit a impact wrench in there, so what I did was I got a big "cheater bar" borrowed from my hydraulic jack that fit over my socket. That didn't work either, because it would just turn the crank, and not break the bolt loose, I couldn't turn it fast enough, so what I did, is I figured which way the crank turns when you start the car, and I placed the bar towards the ground over the socket while attached to the bolt, cranked the engine, and the force of the crank roating and pushing the bar on the ground broke the bolt loose.

The crank/alt set killed my alternator. So it is good that you got just the crank. I may be getting that someday as well, even if it is only 3HP or so.

Not necessarily.....I am thinking that my alternator was already going out and the lower voltage caused by the pulley did it in, really. It was the car's original alternator too. So no, I have no proof that it will kill your alternator, but I will tell you to be careful and watch your voltage, don't go on any long trips until you're sure that your voltage is good. I told the story of how they killed my alternator, and everyone that had them (about 3 or 4 people) said they had no similar problems, but some did suspect it.

Here's the thread on it:
