What will i run???976speed 02-20-2006, 10:37 PM I have a 97 Z28 6 speed with 4.10's Nitto 555R 305/35/18 DR's, underdrive pulley, 58 mm TB, Jet Hot long tubes and hooker cat back. I ran an 8.92 in the 8th bone stock. MTBeni 02-21-2006, 04:28 PM Curious, what was the rest of the info on that 8.92 run (mph, 60)? I ran the exact time (see another post) this weekend, but with an auto. Its not stock though. I got 3 tenths in the 1/8th with pacesetters. I would guess 8.4ish if you could get a decent 60 with the 4.10s and DR. 976speed 02-21-2006, 07:41 PM Reaction- .6210 60 ft.- 2.174 330 ft.- 5.8966 1/8 E.T.- 8.9265 1/8 mph- 81.52 MTBeni 02-22-2006, 05:52 PM wow, I dont feel so good now. I guess I can chalk 2 tenths up to an auto with stock stall though. What do you think? Farfignuten 02-22-2006, 09:51 PM I'd guess that you'd get something like 8.3-8.5 in the 1/8 which would be low 13's in the 1/4. Your bone stock times are really strong and would equate to 13.8ish in the 1/4 which is really good for being stock. MTBeni, what's the elevation of the track that you ran at? You also need to get that 60' down because you have about the same mph as me in the 1/8 and I got an 8.67 with a 1.99 60'. MTBeni 02-23-2006, 03:11 PM Its in FL, so the elevation is maybe 200ish. Weather seemed pretty good too. I know I need to get the 60s down, just figured Id have more mph through the traps. What are your mods and complete times? Where to get a great deal on drag radials? Farfignuten 02-24-2006, 12:28 AM Well all my mods are in my sig. My times: 60': 1.996 330': 5.665 1/8: 8.676@81.18 mph 1000': 11.317 1/4: 13.554 @ 100.76 This was at 740 ft altitude with 60 degree weather and very little humidity. There was a pretty strong headwind though which definitely hurt my trap speed. I was pretty happy with the run though because I got the same 1/8 mile time as a m6 C5 corvette convertable. He did have a trap speed that was 3 mph higher than mine in the 1/8 though 96m6lt1 02-24-2006, 02:07 AM 97ws6 conv. 2600stall,slp headers,3.23s 60' 2.109 1/8 9.18 1/4 14.26 96.53mph march 31,05 56* rel. humidity 0 absolute barometer 30.07 da altitude 2800' MTBeni 02-24-2006, 04:00 PM i guess I am getting drag radials then:) I do feather it prety good off the line, maybe I have some more mph in there. And I know I need to tune the shift points better. Went from 5800 stock points to 6375 and still picked up .7mph. I think more like 6000ish would be best. Im having a problem changing that though...its stuck at 6375 for some reason. Farfignuten 02-24-2006, 11:26 PM You can probably find some cheap drag radials on the "for sale" section on this forum. I'd love to get some drag radials too, but i'm stuck with some crappy all season tires right now. Soon I'm just going to get my brother's 17" SS wheels with some nicer tires on them. Maybe then I can dip lower in the 1.9's. | ||
