What would cause very poor gas mileage in a 3.4 v6. So far I replaced plugs and wires, and fuel filter. I recently replaced the muffler w/ a Thrush turboII muffler, knocked out the cat and installed a cai. I'm only getting about 200miles a tank. I thought the v6 should better gas mileage than this. ANY HELP??

Cat is what regulates how much fuel you get so it is probably giving it to much fuel. Maybe that is why your gas is bad? I dunno.

The catalytic converter has nothing to do with how much fuel you get, it is part of the exhaust/emissions. Are you getting any SES lights? The car may need oxygen sensors.
Also, if you want to save gas, you cant go around hitting the redline all day long. You need to ease on the gas and keep the rpms low.

That is about what I got when my 02's went out on my 3.4L. There are two of them, one on each exhaust manifold.

not on a 1994. Maybe on a 1995 due to emissions.
