Exactly, but if you MUST know, I could get you pictures of my spare ported one. PM me if you want them.

Seriously, just read around here...Then leave it alone. It's good for like 500 hp. If your going higher output than that...Take it off.

I read someone put out 800 with a turbo/supercharger.

Yeah, the stocker flows fine up to and around 6-800hp. If you port it, it messes w/ the calibration. It thinks it's taking in X ammount of air, when it's actually taking in slightly more. A polishing job is fine, just don't expect anything out of it.

it's funny how each post increases the amount of power that the stock maf is good for.

400 in one

600 in another

800 in the next

i'm pretty sure its fine up to the 4-450hp range. but not 6-800hp. i'm sure it would work, but at that point it would be a pretty reasonable restriction.

But a turbo or blower increases the density of the air, so even though its flowing more "mass" than a normally aspirated engine, it isn't necessarily flowing more volume... CFM.... than the 500HP NA engine, at least as long as you mount it on the discharge side.

i'll admit i know about as much about the specifics of boosted applications as i do about olympic curling...

but as far as n/a....that's what i was talking about
