I am in a tough spot. I am currently driving a 1994 Camaro with a ton of miles on it. My Camaro runs well for an old car. But, I need a new car fairly soon. I'd bet I could get another year and a half (MAYBE two years) out of my current car.

But, if the Camaro won't be on the market for more than two years I may be forced to go with a Mustang (which I don't really want to do)

I have looking in on this forum for quite a long time but until today I have never posted. I know there are people here who seem to have inside information. So with that in mind does anybody know (or at least have a best guess) on when the mighty Camaro will return?

 

Expecting anything before late 07 would be foolish . I think its possible to see the car in the last couple months of 07 as a 2008 . Somewhere between there and spring of 08 could be kinda realistic . Their getting cheap enuff , why not upgrade to newer 4th gen to tide you over for a couple years . 98-99 Z28's have become almost cheap with decent miles .

 

Best guess: Late 2008.

Any more news that would give a clue as to the street date?

I picked up the most recent Motor Trend (w/Camaro on the cover) the Camaro article claimed we wouldn't see the Camaro until 2010.

 

My Guess is NAIAS 2008

Just my guess though......a some what educated guess, but only from what I put together on here.

 

Do the "insiders" on this board know the actuall (or close to) the street date?

I understand if they can't come out and mention the actuall date. But it would be really helpfull if I knew the Camaro was coming before 2009. There is no way my current Camaro will last that long. And I will be forced to buy a new Mustang.

In my case the timing really sucks. The 2009-2010 timeline really has me down in the dumps.

Anything more than that I might have to buy a Mustang. As much as I hate the idea.

I like the current Mustang. But I love the Camaro.

 

There may be like 4 people on this entire board that know the real "street" date, but they aren’t going to say a thing. period.

I would think it would be on the street before Jan 2009.....

I think sometime in 2008 is a safe bet. 2007 is prob pushing it.

But I keep hearing how more work is already done on this car than GM is letting everyone know and that they are pushing harder than any time before to get it out ASAP.

I hope you guys are right. In the last week I have heard 07,08,09,and 2010. I just don't know what to believe.

I made the mistake of stopping into a Chevy place tonight to ask them about the Camaro's street date. They had no clue as to an exact date. But they did mention that tons of people had asked about it in the last month or so.

I want my Camaro ASAP.

My guess it '08 as well. Two years still seems like a long time to wait!
