I'm looking at getting these for my car, but I need to know how hard they are to install and where exactly they install. Thanks.

I figured they will, I'm asking because I want to know if I can install them myself in my driveway or if I'm going to have to take it to a shop and have to pay to get them installed.

I had a muffler shop weld them in..... Just get references, so you know it will be done right..:)

Depends on what you got. They almost always mount to the front control arm mount. SLP's bolt under the tailshaft crossmember and then again in the front subframe. Summit sells another set that you bolt to the control arm mount, then the floor pan and then to the subframe. Yes you could do it in your driveway with a jack and jackstands, but you should have them welded. The bolt holes may slot out letting them move and defeat the purpose all together.

So you have two options.

Buy the bolt in ones and pay a muffler shop to weld them up, possibly save a little money.

Buy the weld in ones and pay someone, unless you have access to a welder.

I'm going the bolt on route so you have a double attachment at any one point. Something to think about.

Edit: I was assuming fourth gen until I paid attention to the screen name. Should be the same principal though.

My dad knows how to weld, but he has a very large construction welder (it's for welding together steel casing), I don't know if that would be too much for this little job or not, I'd have to ask him.

I'm sure you could crank down the heat and make it work. Should be a dial or crank on it somewhere. Try it on a similar thickness scrap piece first and you'll be good to go.
