General Question about STS Turbo for LS1

In terms of exhaust, would it sound louder if i used my Loudmouth exhuast?
Is this a good idea as far as back pressure is concerned?
Is it worth getting headers to use instead of the System's headers?
Besides the K-member, are there any other suspension mods that should be installed while the stock engine is coming out and before the new engine goes into the engine bay? I mean this in terms of easiness of install.
What are your opinions on having a new Aluminum 348 ci forged engine or 366 forged engine to be built for the turbo project versus a Iron 370 ci?

Believe it or not, I've never heard the loudmouth exhaust, but from some people have said, the turbo alone sounds similar to an n/a with the loudmouth. The STS kit does not come with headers. I haven't seen enough results to tell you whether it would be worth it to add them. I have stock manifolds on mine. There are no suspension mods that are needed for the STS kit.

Finally, I went forged 370, but any forged bottom end will lead to more fun. Althoug, I've heard that iron blocks are better for boost (stronger). Just build something low compression, and turn up the boost. Is there a reason you wouldn't go forged iron block 370?

i got the sam problem on wat exhaust 2 use.could i just use a x pipe with 2 bullet.all this would b b4 the turbo oviously.or could this evn work

RedBanditz28 - It would actually be a little quieter with the loudmouth system installed because the sts system replaces the stock muffler with a turbo. Loudmouth systems have a resonator that helps drop the resonance from their open exhaust system in the I pipe (the long strait one under the car), so that resonator (being the only muffler in the loudmouth system) will still be in there prior to it going into turbo when going to an STS system. Plus you will need to get a pipe that will connect it to the turbo, because the loudmouth has a Y after it goes over the axle and the STS only uses one pipe.

jmh96z28 - Have you ever seen the STS setup? I have seen your past few posts and it looks like you don't understand how the system works, mounts or sounds.

Technically yes you can go through you X pipe and 2 bullets, but you will have to then Y it back into 1 pipe to go over the axle and into the STS kit. Then the intake track going from the turbo to the front of the car will need to be modified as well, because of you extra piping (the X, and one of your unneeded mufflers). If you have long tubes too then you should look into an LS1 kit, unless they started making them for use with LT headers nowadays...

Now onto why you should never even want to run the system like you are asking, even though I just told you it was "possible":
You won't get nearly any effeciency out of the system since your cloging or slowing flow prior to the turbo, and spool time will suck. On top of that the systems claimed boost levels will almost never be reached. And to answer your question about sound, think about what I said to the guy above, you are putting muflers in front of a turbo, it will quite it down a lot and change the entire sound of your system...

k can i put a bullet after the turbo cuz i want 2 keep the sound i got now

The turbo itself changes the exhaust sound (think of it as a variable muffler), you will never be able to have the sound you have now with a turbo setup...
