hey guys i realized that since i live in california, there are only so many modifications that i can "legally" do to my car.....
I was thinking about trying to change my fuel system. Injectors, pump, and everything that goes with fuel mods.
My question is
1. is this really worth it, am i going to see a horsepower increase?
2. About what would it cost to do all of these fuel mods?
I know ABSOLUTLY NOTHING about fuel delivery and how it works, so if you wanna add something that i don't know about go for it. Hey im only 17 right how much do i know??? lol

Adding fuel to a car that cant and wont use it will get you nothing but a smaller bank account.

you wont see any increase in power, the stock fuel system will handle alot more hp than a stock car has before it reaches its limit.

Plus you'll fail emissions if you're dumping more fuel into the engine than is needed.

Mids will not pass visual. Only shorties, but they're not worth it IMO.
That CheaTR cam will do much better with the Cali imposed exhaust restictions than a 224.

haha... bingo! :thumb:
Hey, i feel for ya, man. I'm born and raised in Cali and legally modding your car has become a bitch there. You could always buy a pre-72 vehicle and go to town on that. No smog checks...
We need that little burnout smiley... http://www.20six.co.uk/pub/wdtiger1/burnout.gif

You can still have a fast car in ca. You can do a little cam and all the bolt ons You just have to be careful with the headers.. I just change mine back to stcok every 2 years. Throw on a little spray and you have deep 11's.
or procharger:D

ya but the thing is, is that i have an extra C.A.R.B. plate left over from another set of headers so i was thinking that i could put the mid'length headers in and that i could weld on the carb plate and have good chances. SO ya i kinda don't have lots of money (only 17yrs) and prochargers and like 5 g's and heads/cams are like 2g's 3 w/ install. so ya im just gonna have to live with that i got for now unless you guys think i can get by with the header idea. I'll try to convince my pop's about the heads/cams.

Or you can become an emission inspector and pass your own vehicles:D

Dude, that's pretty illegal and any tech inspector that cares about his job will NOT pass you if you do that. Sure, you could probably play dumb and act like you don't know and you bought it like that, but good luck getting the tech to pass you.

You'll have to remove your Y pipe also. If you're going to go through all that you might as well run long tubes.
