Tune Up ??

I just got my 2001 SS yesterday. Its got 60k miles.
I figure a good place to start is a little tune up spark plugs, oil, air cleaner etc.

What spark plugs are you guys running? In my older 3.4 Camaro I didnt really worry about it... But I want the best in my SS.

What about oil? What kind are you running? How many miles between changes?

NGK TR55's (stock #3951) are a favorite, and cheap. I got rid of the stock wires/heat shields on my first change so I wouldn't have to deal with them anymore. I use Mobil 1 syn.

yeah i just bought 5 quarts of 10w 30 mobil 1 synth... seems like is runs better... i know it is just mental though... or is it???!?!?!?

I always put 6 in mine, even though it says 5.5

can that be bad for it?

Mobil 1 claims 15000 miles on some of their bottles. Do you guys run that long between changes?
What about filters?

haha no, all of us cahnge them ~3k miles.... i dont give a flying ***** about waht mobil says... 3k

thanks, I was just curious, I change it 3k in all my other vehicles, but they arent using synthetics...
Anyone using Amsoil? Is it all they make it out to be?
