No Cats? Just wondering!LarrieuY2KSS 02-03-2006, 09:11 PM Would an off road y-pipe no cats to stock manifolds effect gas milage? just curious, thanks! teke184 02-03-2006, 11:36 PM NO...lack of cats and the associated SES light has no affect on the running condition of the engine. with a lack of back pressure there is a possibility of increased mileage TransAmAbe 02-04-2006, 06:47 AM I got better highway and city mileage, the highway mileage is above 30 now with the LT's and ORY, but I don't know that this is because of the exhaust specifically and not the tune I got done. I did notice a slight improvement in city mileage and a good (4-5 mph) improvement in highway mileage. I think it's going to vary based on the tune you get. Abe tx77015ls1 02-06-2006, 10:06 PM I live in Texas. I was wondering if i get rid of the cats and put a off road pipe could i pass the emissions test if they did not look and see that i did not have cats? wdtiger 02-07-2006, 12:00 AM If they have a sniffer test, then i'd imagine it would pick up the higher emissions and then they'd see that you're missing cats. | ||
