I noticed that you people are always trading 'logs' and viewing 'logs' but what program do you use for logging the data? Freescan? Thanks in advance!

Try Datamaster from "The Turbo Shop" You get 20 free logs before you have to decide to buy it or not. I think it's about $70. You need a cable to hook to your PCM too. Get that from AKMelectronics.com about 90-95 bucks.
Do you have LT1edit or tunercat? That will be the next thing you will want. Have fun and btw your car isn't the slowest LT1, mine is!

Thanks for the suggestions guys!:) Right now, I have TunerCat (and of course, the cable) I'm having SEVERE backfiring problems but I'm guessing they're coming strictly from a header leak and not from bad tuning. I just wanted to make some 'logs' and maybe have someone look at them to see what they thought! Its all giberish to me!:D

Thanks again!

Ohhh....btw, I bet you I do have the slowest LT1 ever made! I'm callin you out! We'll have to race to prove who is the slowest! :D

FreeScan...just about anyone can open the resulting CSV file. I havent tried Datamaster, but dont think I really need to.

I've tried them both, Datamaster is better because you can graph up to four variables in real time. Much easier than importing a csv file into excel and graphing it. Datamaster can also export files in csv format so others can view it - although datamaster is free for viewing files - it only lets you record up to 20 until you pay for it.

I thought that maybe I would find the real time of value, but I could not. Once I sit down with some data I can make changes close enough to what I want without real time data.

Exporting is also a pain with Datamaster, because you have to clean up the file once it gets into Excel, or else you can't graph things out from there without something screwing it up, due to the layout of each row (A, B, C, header field text).

I could see real time being usefull in certain circumstances, but I just couldn't make use of it in my car.
