Hmm..I can't see how adding FI would change anything. Am I missing something? What have you heard?

The throttle bodys have a cheap ass spring that won't let them shut.

Pretty dissappointing when you consider how much they cost.

Is there a simple fix, such as a better spring that can just replace the supplied one?

Well, i've got the biggest baddest spring advanced auto cells as a carb return spring and it still hangs open occassionally.

Forgive me for expecting a throttle body that expensive to close by itself.. I was pretty irratated at that whole ordeal. When I got it it wasn't even strong enough to close at a idle giving the car small blips in throttle. It would hang open with the vaccum this cam pulls and the air (not boost) that the blower makes.

They could have solved this easily by making the shaft a bit off center.

This is a little discerning since I had My intake opened up for the monoblade. I should still be able to run a standard 58mm if I decide to do so, right?

So did you get it to work ....or should i go back to 58

Well, I got it to work halfway decent with an aux return spring but to me that is just BS. I mean this is a clean car underneath the hood and the throttle body is otherwize really clean looking but not with a aux spring hooked up.

I wouldn't buy another.. Put it that way.

I didn't mention that when I called ASM they told me that sometimes they have to run a aux spring.. They are the ones who reccomended me do that.

I wouldnt go so far as to say that. I have AS&M headers and their 54mm throttle body. IMHO, the monoblade is overkill. You'll never need anything more than the 58mm. I have an S-trimmed 355 @ 14 lbs of boost and the 54mm is just fine. It has worked flawlessly.
