Cutout Size and location

Hey dudes, I know im beating a dead horse here, but ive done my searching and haven't found an exact answer.

So my question, what size of Cut-out would I buy to have welded in BEFORE the cat. somewhere in the Y-pipe. If anyone has any ideas of where at in the Y-pipe that would be great.

Thanks

Re: Cutout Size and location

Most would mount them after the y-pipe converges into one pipe. There is a spot near the passenger seat that many choose to use. Id think the farther back you mount it, the quieter it will be. If you go with dual cutouts for a true-dual effect, you can mount them after the header collectors or somewhere in the y-pipe, but Id be careful considering this might screw with emissions equipment, not to mention be crazy loud Most go with 3" cutouts, flowtech seems popular but some complain about the quality

I went with the 3" QTP electric cutout, it works great. I mounted mine after the cat, just ahead of the rear tire.

Re: Cutout Size and location

The area right before the rear axle on the passenger side is a popular spot for a cutout.
