Smile Which Hood Is Best For The Money!

Have a 95 Z28 like to put a SS Hood on the car. Seems most are
made of fiberglas, or other concoctions like SLP.
Is the SLP the best (and most expensive) compared to : Harwood,
RKsport, Glasstek, suncoast creations? (which are considerably
less expensive. Would want a Bolt-on. $400 to $500 sounds great
but what about the quality. "You get what you pay for"?

95 Z28 LT1 A4 Red w/blackt-top. too many mods to list.

I would suggest american sports car design(ASCD) fiberglass hoods. I like mine and have had no problems with it. Fits and looks great.

SLP has the OEM SS hood, meaning it's the original and would be the best quality you can get(and fit). I'm pretty sure it's not fiberglass either. But, it costs $900...............

Thanks for your reply. Found a restoration place which happens
to wreck a 99 SS...they want $400., which can be negotiated.
BTW the SLP SS Hood which this car has ...is Fibreglass.
Question is will the 99SS Hood fit myt 95 Z28 Hood. I think it should
...but???

I'm 100% sure a hood for an 99SS WILL NOT fit on a 95Z28. Totally different.

You need to find a wrecked 96/97SS, and what sucks is, they are hard to find. I just looked at the SLP website, it says the SS hood for lt1's is their original production?? are you sure an SS hood is fiberglass??

This is from the SLP website

I've got one. And the hood is definitely fiberglass. Not metal or any type of composite. At least not on the first few 96 models.

Yeah, a 98SS hood will NOT fit on your 95Z.
