Anyone w/ Cheaper or Custom Elbow??come in

Does anyone have a cheaper solution to a Intake Elbow??
A decent one off summit goes for $93!!!

Ebay has none of them for any cheaper either.

I'm asking for ideas to make a custom Elbow or any place that has them any cheaper

Is it even worth getting one of these? my stock one bugs me with the big black donky dong hanging (sound resonator) hanging from it.:yuck:

Buy the vortec! I wish I woulda went that route over my Trick Flow.

if this is a performance mod its is a minor one.. what is the major difference between the brands that makes you WISH you had gotten the other brand??

I think I remember reading about removing the resonator from the stock elbow and using a properly shaped piece of wood to plug the resultant opening. I believe it was secured with a hose clamp. Can't get much cheaper than that!

Maybe an 1LE elbow.. I think they run a little over 40 bucks.

A good condition 1LE elbow goes for the same price, or cheaper, and just 15 bucks more you can get one of those cast elbows off Ebay...

I made one of them by taking the tube off, cutting it down and gluing part of it back on top then shoving it up there. Works great. Who needs 1LE when you got imagination.

is it safe to run the ebay ones?

the ebay elbows are just a knockoff of trickflow. they are NOT polished at all. you will have to sand and polish it yourself. takes a little while, but they come out pretty good

I did the good ol' shampoo bottle trick. Siloconed the bottom of an Herbal Essences bottle in there are cut the rest off. Perfect fit, cost nothing (already had the bottle and silicone), and I am very happy with it.
