Camarocracy 01-27-2006, 09:50 PM I just received a set of hi-polished 96-00 WS6 wheels [my favorite style] in very good condition [very few curb rash marks on the lip, but nothing major]. Now I just need to get tires for them, have them mounted and get my WS6 springs, Bilstein HD shocks, and my Hotchkis panhard bar installed as well. That'll pretty much be it for my suspension work. Then comes to go fast goodies, like some longtubes . I got a job at school now, so it shouldn't take me too long to save up the money for the LT's.
Then after that, LT4 hotcam kit and some gears :D
jtcz28 01-28-2006, 02:37 PM Sounds good, you'll have to take me for a ride. Would like to see the Bilstein HD's at work ;)
Camarocracy 01-28-2006, 02:49 PM Sure, as soon as the weather clears up and I can get my car to the shop to get everything installed. Also need to get new tires and get the new wheels mounted for even better handling. :)
slayer6x6 01-29-2006, 03:19 PM Sounds nice, any pics?
Camarocracy 01-29-2006, 06:39 PM I only have pics of it stock when I brought it home last year.

Bersaglieri 01-30-2006, 12:55 AM Nice to hear your getting everything together for a sweet handling F-body. I just installed my SLP Level II this weekend and I'm loving the way the car handles and rides, and its new more agressive stance. Should be pretty similar to the way yours soon will. Now I just have to change out my torn Front LCA bushings I found when I was installing the Level II
Sounds like you have a good plan of action. If you need anything give me a shout.

MunsonGTA 01-30-2006, 09:53 AM sounds nice man, install all those parts yourself and the money you save in labor will pay for the LT's.

Thats what I would do and actually what I did. The spring/shock install cost me a few hours of cleaning out my friend's dad's garage. He used to work as a mechanic, now he works for GM in Lordstown. Its nice since he has a 12ft lift and air tools in his 8 car garage The places I called quoted $400 just for the fronts since the rears are pretty easy. I'm sure it would be around $500+ for all of them. It was more of a learning experience than not being able to do it myself.
Personally I'd bring the Formula on down to my place sometime and we'll get it done for free. I can call SPD2MCH (Lou) and you could bring down jtcz28 if he wants and that should make the work be pretty easy. That puts you around $500 closer to LT's, which I'd also be willing to help install. All you'd need is to rent a spring compressor from Autozone and a size 50 torx bit. The spring compressor is $40, and you get the money back when you return it. After seeing it done, its much easier than I first thought, I'd never spend the money it costs at a shop to get it done. Let me know and we can plan a day around it.

Camarocracy 01-30-2006, 07:35 PM Hey Justin, where you out saturday night in your TA? I think I might have seen you driving by A&W if that was you.
Bersaglieri 01-30-2006, 11:04 PM I try to watch for you guys when I'm in the area, but we just need to arrange a meeting sometime.
-Dustin-
jtcz28 01-31-2006, 12:35 AM I have the TA in storage for the winter. So definitely not me or less someone stole my car and put it back together. If it was silver I have been seeing a silver WS6 around town. Looks really nice, I believe it has Y2K rims on it but they might be off do to the winter season.

jtcz28 01-31-2006, 12:38 AM By the way Dustin if you want to see some other subframes i have SLP's on mine. Thought you might be interested since I see you are getting UMI SF's ;)
-Justin
Bersaglieri 01-31-2006, 11:09 AM Well I was considering SLP's, amoung others, but for $139.99 the boxed UMI's seem like a killer deal. Either way I'd be glad to take a look. I love LT1 WS6's, I just want to see the car!

Camarocracy 01-31-2006, 04:29 PM I'm happy with my BMR boxed connectors :)
I'm also crazy about the LT1 WS6. That's why I'm trying to make my Formula look like a WS6. All I need now is the ram air hood :D
jtcz28 01-31-2006, 04:54 PM Maybe some time we could all get together and I will show you the car.
You should deff look into getting the WS6 hood for your formula!!

i'm sure they have, but it'll say connect this pink wire to that white wire etc etc... only problem is that i have a bunch of wires that aren't the original color. The previous owner did a real hackjob on the wiring harness. I had a buddy redo it for free to make sure everything was right, but it still doesn't have the right color wires.
