a fraind of mine hase a 1998 v6 rustang with a few mods, which are bolt on's(nothing over 1k in total) want to race me he says i have the faster acceleration but he would beat me after the 1/8 mile
I have a 1998 z28 stock auto,but his is 5-speed, so what do you think?

 

im going out on a limb on this one so ill say maybe. it should be a drivers race. (+/-)150hp on slightly lighter car vs. 305hp on the camaro.

If so, agree to whatever rules he says. Don't go full throttle the first race, just toy with him and win by a fender. Second race, start out next to him, and then just floor it.

BTW the faster you go the worse it's going to be for him, not you (regardless of transmission), it's a simple matter of horsepower vs. aerodynamic drag.

If you guys are both really wondering who's car is faster then you really need to get this overwith.

 

I have beaten a new 06 mustang v6 with my 94 formula lt1....you use only about 3/4 throttle and still kill him horribly.

Your friend is out of his mind for even thinking that way. You ought to know that your car is much faster without having to be told so by strangers on a public forum.

 

Are you quoting the factory rating, or did someone steal some spark plugs from the LS1?

Unless the Mustang has a Buick GN V6, you should be OK...I have seen them in Mustangs..At first I was kinda joking, but you may want to ask to see the motor, first...
