Al Roker gave the weather live in the camaro concept this morning on national TV

this morning Al Roker on the TODAY show gave the national weather while sitting inside the camaro concept, and sang many praises to it including mentioning that he'd like to get one if it gets built.

+1 for GM's public relations / marketing department

The timer on my TV normally wakes me up in the mornings. It was pretty cool to see the Camaro on there. :)

Good thing it is the new, slimmer Al. Would have been a publicity nightmare if he had got stuck in the car.

I Can't wait until Sunday at 1 when NBC Covers the NAIAS. I will happily miss football for a glimpse of the Camaro.

This car is getting major press coverage, more then I remember the Challenger getting. Its on AOL, its on AIM, its on my IE home page, its all over the net, and you can bet your a$$ that it will be on every cover of every auto mag in your local B&N and Borders.

Exactly. Another exciting car to get people into Chevy's showrooms, not to mention get Chevy sales. With all the good press this thing is getting, they better have some skilled workers ready to go for the first year because they are going to be busy little bees building a ton of Camaros :)

Explain how GM cares that some associate Camaros and rednecks if they are selling well?

I work at Dish Network and trust me I run into alot of rednecks. I have maybe seen 1 4th gen in a rednecks driveway. It is usually 2nd and 3rd gens. Usually rusted and on cinder blocks too. And I believe the Beretta and the old school cavalier is the iconic redneck car, at least the one they use for transportation. As for the truck of choice it appears to be the F-150.

I have a full tilt southern draw and redneck vocabulary. But I live in a house, dont have any lust for my sister/cousin ect, dont have a mullet, not racist, and whatever else is the current stereotype.
