Fbodfather 01-19-2006, 09:07 PM A word of caution.......the schedule that was posted could change overnight...or at the last minute. It won't be in Providence...one reason being that there are 9 car shows the last week of January....places like Washington DC and Houston have bigger draws......... Fbodfather 01-19-2006, 09:10 PM oh...and by the way.....that isn't a slam at Providence.......I spent a year and a half in Rhode Island......1986 and 1987....(remember Rhode Island's 350th celebration ....with an outdoor concert at Quonsett Point? (sponsored by Chevrolet????) I loved living in Rhode Island.......West Warwick right off Route 2 and 3.....but because GM's headquarters is located in Detroit......well,...wasn't in RI very long........ 305fan 01-19-2006, 09:23 PM Too bad they aren't 3-4 Camaro concepts. It will never come to Calgary :( --so I guess I have to wait 3 years to see it in person.... ( Camaro25thann 01-19-2006, 10:20 PM The Atlanta Auto Show is on the list, however when I go to ATL's website the Camaro is nowhere to be found among the list of cars to be shown!?!?!? Will the Camaro be in Atlanta? If it will, then I will definetly be there, but if not, then I don't want to waste my time and gas. Thanks. Jim85IROC 01-20-2006, 08:28 AM I just hope like hell that it winds up at Carlisle. It's on the schedule, and since that's the biggest GM car show in the east, I'd say it's pretty likely. I want to hug the car. :D rlax31 01-20-2006, 11:13 AM ....places like Washington DC Wait, is it going to be in DC!?!??!!? You might have just made my year. HTWLSS 01-20-2006, 12:40 PM Too bad they aren't 3-4 Camaro concepts. It will never come to Calgary :( --so I guess I have to wait 3 years to see it in person.... ( So plan a road trip and come to Bowing Green, KY in September for the get together there. We've had people drive there from Saskatchewan, so don't say Calgary is too far. http://www.corvettemuseum.com/registration/f-body/info.shtml SCNGENNFTHGEN 01-20-2006, 03:42 PM How about the all GM show at Carlisle? I hope so! I am dying to see it, and will be there this year for sure, opti problems or not. I'll take the bike if I have to. I keep checking thier site but so far nothing about Camaro. HTWLSS 01-20-2006, 04:27 PM How about the all GM show at Carlisle? I hope so! I http://mcgeesauto.chirpthird.com/grphx-pics/thud.gif Oh, for goodness sake, go look at the thread that's stickied at the top of the 5th Gen Forum! http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=421907 (Watch....someone will ask next "How about Atlanta?") 305fan 01-20-2006, 09:07 PM So plan a road trip and come to Bowing Green, KY in September for the get together there. We've had people drive there from Saskatchewan, so don't say Calgary is too far. http://www.corvettemuseum.com/registration/f-body/info.shtml wait a sec..... You've heard of saskatchewan? Calgary is a bit further but only a days drive. Interesting idea---except I do not get paid holidays and have nothing to take and show off. Plus this years tight for cash!:( Gm should just bring the Camaro to me! Might as well be on the moon! Calgary to Bowling Green is 2152.24 miles!! HTWLSS 01-21-2006, 08:05 PM ... have nothing to take and show off. Might as well be on the moon! Calgary to Bowling Green is 2152.24 miles!! It's not about showing off. It's about getting together at the end of the show season with fellow enthusiast friends. Most everyone there has come together as a result of message boards like this one. If Calgary seems as far away as the moon to you, I can't be sympathetic. We drive from Oregon approx 2300 miles to get to B.G. each way. By the time we pull into our garage after our 2 week road trip, we typically have added about 6000 miles on the odometer. Last September we left Kentucky a day after our Canadian friends and headed north to their house in Winnipeg, Manitoba, for a night, then drove home via the prairie and through Glacier Nat'l Park to get back into the States. So....not only do I know where Saskatchewan is, I've seen a bit of it! I should have been more specific as to where our other long distance Canadian friends came from - Saskatoon. If you pick up the current copy of Camaro Performers (http://superchevy.com/hotnews/0601sc_cperformers/)(it's supposed to be on the shelf until 2/21/06), take a look at page 23 & 24. It highlights the event, and you'll see a pic of our license plate (HTWLSS) and can spot our NBM '99 convertible as second in line in the pic captioned "Places, everyone, we're going to go driving." Anyone and everyone is welcome to the event, no matter what condition your car is in. Again, it's more about the people and doing stuff together. The car we drive is just coincidental! :) | ||
