no, it's a blurry picture of the clay mock up.

It does not have the lines of the mockup...

It looks like the "retroer" version posted earlier.

This isn't the same clay mockup as the original leaked pics. this one is different. The headlights and front clip are different, and the rear end is completely different. This is the one that was taken in the side-by-side photos with the yellow '69.

Perhaps this is the other side of the same clay mock up?

We never saw a shot of the drivers side, which was styled slightly different as we could tell form the frontal pictures.

The pic is pretty blurry, though... hard to tell if the "seam" is running down the middle of that car...

Looks photoshopped and intentionally distorted.

It's just a cropped, flipped version of the car on the left here...hell, they probably found it here LOL!!

Interesting... I had not seen that picture before.......

Looks like it is indeed a second mock up car... wonder why they split one in half, but not this "new" one...??

PS: Mr. Welburn looks like he is enjoying his job in that shot :)

Um......................

Zoom in on the front fender of the car on the left....... in front of the wheel well................ is that a "427" Badge?!

This would be particularly interesting...... with the LS7/no LS7 talk.... since it is basically 427 cubic inches.... (I know you can round it's displacement up to 428, but I prefer to truncate. :p )

I cant make out the first 2 numbers, but the last is certainly a 7 and their are 2 before it.

Too small to see and won't come up clear on photoshop. Its possible though.

The car on the left looks terrible in the front. Looks wimpy and dorky.

Could be 327 instead of 427 since there's been talk of a base V8 engine, but it's most likely where the side markers go. It also could have been GM just playing around, but if they're reading, here's another vote for the LS7. :thumb: :D

I've been staring at it for a while.... REALLY looks like a 4 and a 7, the middle number is hard to make out, but it's blocky like a 2 would be, and really, only a 2 would make sense there....

But, you have a perfectly legitimate point in that it could just be the guys messing around with the styling a bit... and thought it'd be fun to put a 427 badge on there.

And it is a mockup for the concept car. GM could have put a jet engine in the concept if they wanted to. That doesn't mean they will release even one to the public...

I remember that one of the GMC Syclone mock-ups was once outfitted with Buick badge. Sounds kinda funny to think that they were once considering calling it a Buick Syclone...a Buick truck? That goes to show you.

Maybe this was one of their first designs. I found this on GM's website September 2004. Back when I found it, people thought it was the Cadillac Evok, but maybe it isn't?

Interesting picture, but one of the small drawings on the wall has some large tall Caddy tailights, so I'm sure they weren't lying to you...

I like the concept, but I like that car. its got the round sides and is more 69 in it. Im just a 69 nut. Theres nothing better to me.

The LS7 really should be mute because Lutz himself

"And for those of you who might say, “Well, the Challenger has 35 hp more,” I would just reply that we have a certified 1OO more on tap from the ZO6 engine, should the need arise."

Looking closely at the pic- and from what was said about the first concept- taking its cues (retro) from the new mustang and such- I think that is the original scrapped design- I love 69's and the retro theme (loved Kris H's first PHR retro Camaro pics)- But now I feel even better about the concept they did- they are sooo on the right track!!

Can anyone get someone from the design team or Red P to verify?;)

I think seeing that pic makes the actual NAIAS car even stronger!!

Never saw the picture before, but I've seen that yellow Camaro.

That's Ed Welburne's daily driver. ;)

Here are all of the different concepts I have pics of. I think they chose the right one as far as these go (except I hate the hood scoop).

Funny how 2 of the clay concepts have photoshopped wheels.

I'd REALLY be interested to see ALL of GM's scale models (2 foot long ones) for their Camaro design proposals. I've only seen one of them, and it wasn't vastly different from what they made.

LOL, maybe I am just tired, but the headlight's on the first iteration of the Camaro concept remind me of Thomas the Tank Engine!

Turbo96- Do you know that for a fact, or is that just your opinion?

I honestly can't really tell... I thought they were photoshopped because of how opaque and uniform the color of the brake rotors are.

I think he was referring to what is now known as the First Camaro Concept, which is the third car in order of those four photos.

Photo 1 is the clay of the final concept, Photo 2 is the concept, Photo 3 is the first more retro concept, and Photo 4 is the second design study clay (two different sides) which was developed by the second design team brought in later because the first concept was too retro and later refined to the clay version in Photo 1. (So there actually were two sport bikes. :D )

At least that's my understanding of it.
