NikiVee 01-18-2006, 01:33 PM DETROIT - City officials are trying to figure out how a woman sneaked into the North American International Auto Show after closing time to pose naked atop the new Dodge Challenger.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday when only workers and security guards were supposed to be inside Cobo Center.
Guards found the woman and about a dozen gawkers taking photographs with camera phones, workers told The Detroit News.
"We heard they were all over the Challenger," said Jason Vines, a spokesman for the Chrysler Group, which earlier had tried to give its cars more sex appeal by bringing in fully clothed "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria to pose at its exhibit.
Cobo Director Glenn Blanton said disciplinary action will be taken if employees were involved in the security breach.

christianjax 01-18-2006, 02:49 PM Sounds like the only way Dodge could steal a little thunder from the Camaro concept car was to plant a naked chick on thier less desireable concept.

And if it doesn't work, we're gonna have to pluralize it to make fun of them. "They had naked women on their cars and still couldn't keep up."
IMO, whoever thought this up though, was actually pretty clever.

Did anyone notice this article at that link? more on the camaro possibly comingi sooner....
The consensus in the automotive press recently has been that the Chevrolet Camaro concept won’t make it to production until 2009, leaving many Chevy fans disappointed. However, GM’s Vice president of global design, Ed Welburn, hinted that it might not take that long. “The Camaro isn’t a typical car,” he said, speaking at the Automotive News World Congress. “I think we could move very quickly. It is a strong design.” GM sources told Auto News that the car will likely be engineered by GM’s Holden subsidiary, and, like the Buick Enclave, the production version will be almost identical to the concept. Also like the Enclave, the interior will probably be simplified somewhat. As previously reported, it’s likely the production model would be offered with a choice of V6 and V8 engines. The Camaro Concept is powered by a 400 horsepower Corvette engine. GM’s Bob Lutz recently hinted that the company could even offer a model with the Z06 ‘Vette’s engine if demand was sufficient. http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/01/19/camaro-may-come-sooner-than-expected/

We have people reading here that might not want to see that, especially at work. Then again, they might...but still...we don't want anyone losing their job and not being able to work on a new Camaro.

BIG B7887 01-21-2006, 04:46 PM ...Meanwhile, Chrysler can't be unhappy about one of its concept cars appearing to be sexier than the competition.
"We heard they were all over the Challenger," said Jason Vines, a spokesman for the Chrysler Group, which had tried to give its cars more sex appeal by bringing in fully-clothed Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria to pose at its exhibit.
"Obviously, this car is a magnet. We want people to love these cars - but not in that way,"
...yeah, I want to say publicity stunt all over that...
