Camaro Concept Intro Video Quality

Hey guys, great site, I've been visiting for several years, good job.

Just one thing concerning the video section of the site especially the Camaro Concept Intro video, why are you using the Ford Fiesta of video codecs and media players, Windows Media Player???? It's terrible quality, buggy proprietary crap. I would love to see H.264 or QuickTime.

Seriously, I'm just trying to help so if you have any questions or need some video encoded that you don't want to look like garbage, please ask and I'll do my best to help out.

Probably because WMP is by far the most common player...anyone who has Windows has it.

Not every one uses virus and spyware ridden Windows, but that's not my point, the quality of WMV videos are terrible and there are platform independent video codecs that produce smaller download requirements larger pixel video size files which would be far better than just using Windoze Media just because.

the only thing quicktime has going for it is smaller files but the quality is usually worse from my experience and the player isn't much to rave about, i don't think a slightly bigger file is anything to worry about with the extremely excessive bandwidth on the internet

and windows is actually pretty secure, the only reason some people say it is "virus and spyware ridden" is because these things were programmed to be used against a windows operating system since it is by far the most common, i don't use any virus or spyware removing program and i use windows/IE and i have no problem with viruses or spyware, i think they work just fine

but honestly if anyone wants to release a video in any format i'd be happy to download it and take a gander :)
