Do carbon fiber synchros degrade by not being used over a long period of time?

5 years ago I had my T56 rebuilt with CF synchros and the tranny has been sitting in my garage since then, never used. (The whole kit cost about $500) Should I have anything to worry about? Does anything go bad after not being used at all for this long? Thanx
