So what was the "other car" we heard about?toneloc12345 01-09-2006, 06:36 PM Was there another gm car at NAIAS? A lot of people were talking about another GM car that would appear at detroit. TONY Johnny Ray 01-09-2006, 06:37 PM Huh? :D IREngineer 01-09-2006, 07:00 PM Show isn't over yet. Saying that, I know nothing. toneloc12345 01-09-2006, 07:18 PM People were talking about a full size RWD sedan ala "belair" "caprice" and so on. TONY Brangeta 01-09-2006, 07:19 PM Wouldn't it be funny if GM had another Camaro-type concept at the show? Like one that isn't designed to be an updated '69? That would freak me out; that'd be awesome! stars1010 01-09-2006, 07:20 PM Show isn't over yet. Saying that, I know nothing. You know something:D ;) :p I still bet its a Buick! jg95z28 01-09-2006, 07:21 PM You know something:D ;) :p I still bet its a Buick! As do I. ;) TOO Z MAXX 01-09-2006, 07:22 PM Chevelle toneloc12345 01-09-2006, 07:24 PM I still think a caprice would be pretty sweet. KrisH 01-09-2006, 07:25 PM Chevelle God that'd be sweet...well not for my bank account...but sweet in general. Kris graham 01-09-2006, 07:31 PM Gn? 5thgen69camaro 01-09-2006, 07:33 PM anyone consider firebird? KrisH 01-09-2006, 07:35 PM anyone consider firebird? Not really. It was made pretty clear that the Firebird was gone for good...but then it was also made clear that the 5th Gen Camaro wouldn't be retro... :D Josh452 01-09-2006, 07:42 PM There is no other vehicle. greg_nate 01-09-2006, 07:45 PM Was there another gm car at NAIAS? A lot of people were talking about another GM car that would appear at detroit. TONY I was wondering the same thing. chevyfreak1822003 01-09-2006, 07:46 PM Has anyone seen the latest motor trend magazine it could be the stingray that was shown in motortrend. meissenation 01-09-2006, 07:46 PM Hrm, if there is no other RWD vehicle, ala Chevelle or Bel-Air or such, my faith in certain "winkie club" members is kinda being lost. For one, what happened to those lines that start at the wheel fenders and then go back towards the rear that we heard so many times was almost a definite on the vehicle? I don't see them on the concept. I remember a few other people saying another RWD vehicle being shown at NAIAS, if not seems like someone was leading us on with a lot of bs. :( greg_nate 01-09-2006, 07:51 PM There is no other vehicle. wait a minute...I thought it was on C&G that I read about GM showing two new rwd vehicles - Camaro being one of them. was the rumor bogus? guionM 01-09-2006, 07:51 PM wait a minute...I thought it was on C&G that I read about GM showing two new rwd vehicles - Camaro being one of them. was the rumor bogus? Bogus. smackkk 01-09-2006, 07:55 PM Yeah I was thinking about the no retro as all the 1st gens rolled down the line and none from the other generations. Not that I am complaining. I loved the car. fredl11 01-09-2006, 07:55 PM Blue Devil Corvette SC 650 hp 5thgen69camaro 01-09-2006, 08:18 PM There was a sweet Buick Enclave SUV that was lexus/Caddy quality? Chevy/Buick are lacking a RWD Sedan. If they are serious about Camaro other cars will share the plat. Im sure they will have a Nomad as well. Josh452 01-09-2006, 08:44 PM I don't remember us stating there would be two RWD concepts, I do remember Branden from GMI stating there might be two RWD concepts but it was one the entire time. IREngineer 01-09-2006, 09:14 PM I don't remember us stating there would be two RWD concepts, I do remember Branden from GMI stating there might be two RWD concepts but it was one the entire time. But there are other shows this season, right? Let's see what Chicago and New York have for us ;) meissenation 01-09-2006, 09:33 PM There were people mentioning that there was going to be two concepts, heck a lot of the magazine sites were even mentioning the Chevelle being unveiled. Are we just asking too early, or did someone give us wrong information? SSbaby 01-09-2006, 09:40 PM I posed the same question here (http://64.65.63.61/forums/showpost.php?p=3557890&postcount=24). See the GM Press Release... "Two new concept vehicles also will be shown for the first time. There are no embargos for these two vehicles (the product information will be available at the time of the reveals)." http://media.gm.com/us/gm/en/news/events/autoshows/06naias/index.html jg95z28 01-09-2006, 09:43 PM Well there are "two" Camaros. One in Detroit and one in LA. So maybe that is what they actually meant. 5thgen69camaro 01-09-2006, 09:59 PM Well there are "two" Camaros. One in Detroit and one in LA. So maybe that is what they actually meant. one in LA? what about GTO? | ||
