Just got in from a LONG day. I will cut right to the chase...
Without a doubt, you need to see this car in PERSON
Well, you all have seen pictures of it. Some earlier than others but if you go anywhere in the automotive world, you just can't miss it. It is EVERYWHERE. Overall response has been unimaginable.
There is one thing that is very imporant to know about this car:
Don't discredit this car yet. If you like it or if you hate it or if are stuck somewhere in between, you MUST see this car in person to appreciate it. Ask ANYONE who has.
There are accents and details on this car that simply do not clearly reveal themseves in pictures, in print or on a screen. The C6 was very similar in this regard. Also, please bear in mind that this is a CONCEPT. If it makes production (and we certainly hope it does), there are likely some changes that will be made, and those changes may be for the better or the worse in your opinion. For one example, it is highly doubtful that the interior will be as wild as the concept.
So you need to see it in person before you can fairly judge it, good or bad. Of course, it is now in Detroit but like many have speculated, there is also a fiberglass mock-up at the LA Auto show right now as we speak, see the sticky thread above.
If you can't make either show, this concept will be making the other shows in the near future, and we will do our best to keep everyone informed as to when and where it will be.
Chris and I both agree...the more we see of it, the better it looks. Make no mistake, if we truly did not like it, we would be truthful about that as well. Just like everyone, there are points that we like and do not like out it, but what we like far outweighs the dislikes....by a landslide.
Again, you need to see this car in person to fully appreciate it and fairly judge it.
Interview with Scott "Fbodfather" Settlemire!
Right after the unvileing, we sat down with Scott "Fbodfather" Settlemire himself for one of our podcasts to talk with him for a few minutes about the Camaro Concept.
We will be releasing this podcast shortly and will post when we do. Just head over to our Podcast forum if you don't know what this is all about. All you need is an MP3 player, hardware or software. Don't miss this one!
