They say this is modeled off of the 69...obviously...but What other generations do you see in the body???

One thing I love is the early 4th gen in the front mixed w/ the 1st gen front!!! SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the straight line down the middle (rather then lines coming off of the wheel wells) is similar to the 67-68

Tall angle and width between the top of the front fenders and the hood kinda like a 3rd gen.

The general shape, angle of the grill/nose area, pointness etc of the front all are cues off the thirdgen (far more than the 4thgen IMO). Looking at a straight profile shot the the whole fender design, and the curve down toward the front looks very thirden to me.

The fender/wheel opening flares are thirdgen-ish, I suppose some other years had those but these scream thirdgen to me. Alot of the general proportions somehow remind of the thirdgen as well...

The taillights are weird, I can't tell what they remind me off. They've got round guts going on that look 2ndgenish, but the overall rectangular look is unique. I dig em either way...

i see some 3rd gen in the winshield and hood.

from a side profile, i see some 2nd gen in the way the front fenders end and the point of the nose comes out.

another thing from the side, it has almost a 4th gen like profile to it.

I think the front fenders have a look similar to a 3rd gen z28. The front end has the a slight 4th gen look to the lower grill and fog lamps. Otherwise the car seems to really have a 1st gen look. I agree that the tail lamps don't really remind me of anything. Maybe they are based off of an early 1st gen's? But I'm okay with them being original too. Not everything has to be based off a previous generation.

Personally I think the designers only thought of the 1st gen Camaro, otherwise why did they not parade any other years than 1969?

Could be a lot of reasons. But I wouldn't take the exclusive parade as the primary indicator... look at the concept itself. I believe there are plenty of cues from the other gens, like the rear roofline looking a lot more 3gen than 1gen, the sides being skirted at the bottom like the 3gen IROC-Z, and the wide, horizontal, pointed front fascia again somewhat like an IROC-Z or maybe even a 4gen. The sharply creased sides and quarters also remind me of an IROC as well as the C6, both of which I already adore

It is kinda insulting that they only acknowledge the first generation and treat the rest like they never happened or they were a mistake. They only have a first gen on the Chevy website too.

Cornpone

There's nothing 'insulting' about it... at least to most of the comments I've seen so far herein. There are clearly C6 styling cues in the concept - - are they supposed to parade a C6 thru the hall too, to make sure it's shown its proper respects?

Your right, there are a ton a C6 styling cues......like.........the indented channel in the roof.

Don't be upset because everyone is not in the "I just wet my pants" group.

It's slung like a 4th gen. The "squished" look or whatever...

Red said it would represent all generations. All I see is the first generation...like the mustang....and challenger...

Did he really say that?

It would have been nice to see another Camaro in all the hoopla besides only the first gen.

The way Red talked about it, I'm wondering if this is even the one he was talking about. I remember they said there were two concepts that made it to screening (or whatever you call it, where they pick people to critique it), one was modern and one was retro. I hope this isn't the modern one.

Defintely 69 in the nose, but the side is 67-68 all the way. The character line on the bottom of the sides that flows into the quarters; is spot on with the 67/8 character line that is often chrome. The flares are thrid gen, I see no fourth gen. The great thing is I can see the styling update after the car has been out a few years, will probably have the character line of the 69 that flows off the wheel well. Which is what I originally thought would happen, but I am more than happy with the way it looks now.
