HybridStorm 01-09-2006, 12:17 PM We've all seen it, obviously it'll be a little different comming off the assembly line. (personally i think they'll move those gauges) And the engine will def. be a determining factor, and for some... (SS or Z28 or...???)
as of now...WILL YOU BUY IT '09??
94Camaro_Z_28 01-09-2006, 12:18 PM Yup, T-top Z28
91Z28350 01-09-2006, 12:18 PM As long as the top model is out, yes!
Diognes56 01-09-2006, 12:19 PM Yes :D
David
turbo96z28 01-09-2006, 12:19 PM in a word......... YES
JIM683 01-09-2006, 12:19 PM Yes
02firebird2000 01-09-2006, 12:20 PM tough to say if they make the proper changes yes.....and If it has the ls7 yes.... otherwise HELL NO
HybridStorm 01-09-2006, 12:20 PM Oh yes...LS7...mmmmmm :D :D
MadKilla 01-09-2006, 12:21 PM My Father, MY MOTHER, my best friends (3) and I are going to talk to our guy at Maroone Chevy down in south Florida to try and put in an order in an attempt to get one of the first ones if they build it. I WILL own one of the first of these released. Likely to trade it in in 2 years for the SS when it comes out with that monster LS7 or L92.
HOTCIVIC 01-09-2006, 12:21 PM I guarantee it.
TransAm219 01-09-2006, 12:21 PM Yes!! As long as i can afford a V8 model
01pewterz28 01-09-2006, 12:22 PM I will buy 1 if not 2 (the wife wants another V8) one of them will be a Tom Henry GMMG edition :)
Sean
Z28LT1_Just_Nasty 01-09-2006, 12:24 PM Without a doubt I will have to buy one. V-8 or nothing.
Chocolate Apocalypse 01-09-2006, 12:24 PM Absolutely!
Ray86IROC 01-09-2006, 12:24 PM I choose top dawg, but I suppose alot of it depends on price. It also depends on what the midrange and top dawg have engine wise. If it's not much of a difference and the Z28 or SS like with the 4thgens and the midrange is a 400+ hp standard LSx engine more or less the same as the topdawg I may get that. If the topdawg is a huge upgrade like a LS7 or something BUT is not more than 35k (I figure that's unlikely) I'd try to swing that.
Will really depend on exactly what the model and price is, I want the heavy hitter engine wise, but not for mega mega bucks...
Conversely if the midrange is a 325ish hp 5.3 or something, then no way am I buying that (but it'll be cool with me), I'm all about the standard 400+hp model, whatever that may be.
Jim85IROC 01-09-2006, 12:26 PM This will be my first new car. I've already decided that I'll sell my corvette to buy one.
njenson 01-09-2006, 12:26 PM LS7 pleeeeeezzzzzzzzz
Gives me more motivation to get done with school faster so i will have a job to afford this :D
godofdragons 01-09-2006, 12:26 PM yes, but which option depends on when it comes out. im in college right now so there is no way i would be able to buy tomorrow. if i have a decent job before it comes out, i will probably lease it. if it is already out before i make any money, then i will be looking for used ones to buy.
i would get whichever trim has the top engine, not top trim. tightly woven cloth please, no velour, gm!
HooliganZ 01-09-2006, 12:28 PM I will definitely buy one! Top dawg Z28 for me.
blue 79 Z/28 01-09-2006, 12:29 PM I will definitely buy one! Top dawg Z28 for me.
ditto
Z28WannaB 01-09-2006, 12:29 PM I'll get a V8 provided they only cost about 27K brand new. Otherwise Im gonna have to wait.
- Z28WAnnaB
gibbylt1 01-09-2006, 12:31 PM I WILL buy this car. I've been waiting for this since 2002, and if GM fails to follow through with producing this car, I will never drive a GM again. No Camaro? I'll be forced to drive the new Challenger.
Ken S 01-09-2006, 12:32 PM If it rolled out very similar to the concept on the showroom floor, and there are no surprising with some details or price.. then yes.. If not the first year its out, then a year or two afterwards... new
6SpdLT1Z 01-09-2006, 12:32 PM I choose "Used Mid Range"
I'm a student right now and still will be in 09, so financially its out of the question to buy new. Most likely I will buy a nice Used 98-02 SS 6spd once I get out of college. However I would be open to one if I found a good deal. They're nice cars and all.
HybridStorm 01-09-2006, 12:33 PM How much would you pay for:
'09 SS LS7 6spd???
POWERFREAK 01-09-2006, 12:34 PM Yup...I'll buy one. SS or Z...what ever has the most power. My wife likes it, so that'll make the purchase a little easier.
I'll be selling my 1979 6-71 blown BB Malibu this year to start saving...just in case anyone knows anyone that might be interested;)
SFB767 01-09-2006, 12:41 PM I'll get a V8 provided they only cost about 27K brand new.
Hopefully, Chevy doesn't do the same thing Ford did with the Thunderbird comeback and make it out of everyone's reach.
fredl11 01-09-2006, 12:44 PM I already sent E-mail to Berger to see what they have in store :)
Z28Marcus 01-09-2006, 01:00 PM I will be making some garage space if the General fixes three things:
- The giant ricer fart pipes have to go.
- Fix the terrible design of the tail-lamps which look very out of place. One piece units shaped more conventionally with a euro style amber signal would look better.
- Show us a modern interior - the whole thing while interesting in an odd way is very fussy and unattractive. Also, the placement of guages on the floor is while retro, a bad idea... I don't ever want to have to take my eyes completely off the road to look at those things.
The rest of the car is extremely bad@$$!
christianjax 01-09-2006, 01:44 PM HELL YES. I will be one of the first to own one of those. Toppest dawg I can get.
nas-T-72z 01-09-2006, 01:47 PM adding one to my collection. lol in black
graham 01-09-2006, 01:52 PM Prolly get one a couple years old. Maybe slightly wrecked rebuild. There's a lot of money to be saved with a lil patience and work.
cfdemarco 01-09-2006, 01:52 PM It's really easy to say yes, I'll definately buy one...but then when it comes time to drop the $30k or more that it's probably going to cost on the table, I don't think everyone who planned on buying one will be buying one.
That being said, if and when this Camaro is produced, if I do have the financial means to buy one, I will definately try to.
MarcR94v6 01-09-2006, 01:53 PM I just hope that by then I can afford the insurance.
Z28-CTYHNTR 01-09-2006, 01:56 PM You bet your sweet ass Ill buy it. *drools at the thought of owning two Z/28s*
jwade95Z 01-09-2006, 02:00 PM Yes. I voted "mid" only because leather, nav, etc ... would not be on my must have list. I'd rather have it moderately equipped, with the nice V8 and 6 speed.
HybridStorm 01-09-2006, 02:01 PM Yes. I voted "mid" only because leather, nav, etc ... would not be on my must have list. I'd rather have it moderately equipped, with the nice V8 and 6 speed.
Exactly! Lighter too.. :)
pHEnomIC 01-09-2006, 02:03 PM I will buy top of the line, hopefully it is the Z28 up there. Oh yeah and if there is a zl1, ill buy that instead, already saving up.
