How much money should I save up, and when do I need it by?Blue89Bird 01-09-2006, 11:21 AM Well.......discuss 67 LS-1 & T-56 01-09-2006, 11:23 AM Good Question, Bob says that it will be accessible to millions just like previous Camaros. I would have to estimate that it will priced to compete with Mustang...Base around 21-22k, Upper trim around 26-30k. I think I'm going to open a separate savings account today. :D 1SlowFormula 01-09-2006, 11:43 AM Good Question, Bob says that it will be accessible to millions just like previous Camaros. You can get up to $3000 in savings. Look to a late '08 buy for a 2009 model is what I keep hearing. :D Fenster 01-09-2006, 12:47 PM You get GM points for buying things on your GM card which translate to $$$ for a new GM car. I hope not.... 1Quick88 01-09-2006, 01:29 PM I hope you are right about the price, I really do. I somehow am very scared it will be in the 30's though, due to the price of the GTO. I hope not.... I agree.. but at the same time if they dont keep it competively priced against the Mustang people will still flock to mustang unfortinatly jwade95Z 01-09-2006, 02:17 PM They keep repeating the value promise, so you have to think you will either get more significant content for the same price, or they will undercut the competition on base price with the same content. By the time Camaro bows, we'll probably have an updated Mustang, and a new Challenger, as direct historical competitors, as well as a myriad of other RWD "sports car" offerings from various other makes. I didn't recall this, but read recently that the Challenger was a less expensive car than the Charger. So, the Challenger may realistically be shooting for the Mustang market when it hits the streets in mid-level form, while the top-of-the-line model goes for GTO prices. Plus, Chrysler has been giving folks reverse sticker shock lately. I think these factors combined dictate a lower MSRP than we actually expect once the Camaro hits the streets. Maybe not for the top-of-line model, whatever designation it gets, but certainly the mid-level and entry level cars. anasazi 01-09-2006, 02:23 PM wasn't hyundai going to be releasing a rwd v8 car somewhat soon to compete in that market? its getting very crowded, in contrast to the last two years or so. DvBoard 01-09-2006, 03:49 PM well i hope it gets out soon, then maybe i can afford a used on in about 4 years :D | ||
