Thank you everybody; yes, of course the battery was dead but I think that the grounds were shot, as was teh wiring for the power cable going to the starter. I fixed everything, charged the battery the past day and a half and she starts RIGHT up; as in within the first second of the starter engaging.
Thanks everybody and thank you ThumpinTA for coming over to help me!!!

So am I! I brought along ThumpinTA because I figured it still wouldn't run after I had been tinkering with it for days with some friends. I spray some starter fluid into it, give it a crank and after a few minutes (I had to perfect the timing, not to mention the car has sat unstarted for about 6 months now :( ) it started right up. Now, the car will start up within a second of the starter engaging
Too bad the day I got it started (yestereday) the person that's renting the downstairs appartment where the car is, is being a complete assf*ck. Cops were called twice and I almost beat his a$$ had it not been for him calling the cops. I was outta there by the cops came the second time ;)

So you had some pretty crappy power cables? See Matt, I told you you'd get her fixed. No enjoy, as the tuning I'm sure will have no end, but at least you can drive the damn thing now!
P.S. Glad you didn't sell her now? :)

Hah ya I'm REALLY glad I didn't sell it. Yesterday it would start right up after I got it running right, but today it took a bit and then it kept stalling out. Then it dawned on me that's one side effect of a nice and lumpy cam
There was a part of the power cable going into the starter that literally blew itself apart before it stopped working the first time. Jim (my friend) fixed it, but after close analyzation there was a LOT of corrosion on one of the wires, and then on another one there was like 5 strands of wire holding it on undneath the wing nut lol.
Ya it runs great once it's warm though!

Thats great matt, i knew you had a connection problem somewhere. Glad you found it. Now that its running it may take a few days or so of tinkering, but youll get it tuned good. Keep at her, and it will pay off in the end.
