This was posted earlier today on Allpar by "mphmag" (click to see the thread, which is mostly about the new Wrangler):
the Camaro does share some of the traits of the leaked image Automobile ran on it's cover. but it is much more finished obviously, beefier and a lot more mass appealing than the Challenger (IMO) The Challenger is gonna have fans don't get me wrong, but the Camaro could have the same mass appeal as it did before when it competed with the Mustang. It will be the Star of NAIAS unless something I haven't seen comes out. If only they had black concept cars....the concept is the first GM I have ever considered buying (because I don't have money for a Z06).

From the same allpar thread, when asked about why the Mustang will have more appeal....
Got retro? At least if this guy is correct.
It's more a gut feeling because it is taking cues from the late 60 Camaros like the Mustang did.
