The stock Bose System in my 1994 Z28 ate my CD today. Luckily it was a burn copy of 311 so its not worth anything to me, lol. Anyway I can fix it? Preferably myself. The system had been slowly ejecting so I kinda had it coming. Oh well, what's the best thing to do? Can a local shop fix it for me? Or am I better off buying a new headunit / Bose System on eBay? I'd kinda like to fix it because the Bose System was pretty decent for me... It had the 8" sub in the Trunk.

the stock bose doesn't have an 8" sub in the back, its a regular 6.5 speaker that only gets bass signals.

With that being said, I'd junk it and get something that won't crap out again in the near future.

Update. It actually freely ejected out... Okay its the stock bose I believe so I guess it's a 6.5" Oh well, its a decent enough system for me for now. Its louder than my Headers so thats pretty impressive. :D

Anyways, Can It be repaired easily so I don't have to worry about it eating my CDs? I don't usually put Good CD's (IE a retail one, only copies) in my car because they get too scratched up.

This is an off the wall idea but it works with printers so what the hell. Try getting some sandpaper and just start to feed it in. ENough for the feeders to rub on it but not go near anythign else. This may return friction and help.
