Ok I have a 97 WS6 and I am looking into replacing my old opti. I have seen that MSD just came out with a new one for 499 and wanted to know if i should invest in this rather than just a stock one from GM. Thanks for the help...Justin

Has anyone used the new MSD???
Haven't installed one yet, but had 1 of each in stock to examine and they are very nice. They are expensive but if you are looking to run high RPM they are the way to go

Well I dont plan on having much of a high RPM motor for some time so I guess i will just stick with the stock.....is there a good cheep store other than GMparts ??

Is a ACDelco opti a good one to get? I found one for around 225 does that sound good?

Yes, AC-Delco is OEM and the way to go for stock replacement. $225 is a decent price.
