How fast were you when you broke your stock 10-bolt?

What sort of ET/MPH were you running when you broke your stock 10-bolt? What were your dyno numbers? If a certain mod pushed you over the edge, what was it?

My last stock 10 bolt lasted for a long while. I would say I got about 200 passes down the track (110,000) before it went. I was pushing around 415rwhp/480rwtq at the time.

Well my friend did a heads/cam package to his LS1 and put down close to 400rwhp. After that, he broke several stock 10 bolts and did this for awhile before finally upgrading to a Moser 9 inch. Probably a good thing he did considering he just recently added a 150 shot to it.

My first 10 bolt broke right after my first 12 sec pass. On radials.

my stock car was pushed over the edge by a hooker cat back to make my diff blow up, with two bald 16 inch street tires on each side. :(

Could you guys state what size rear gear ratio you had? Because taller gears(3.73, 4.11, etc) have less meshing between the ring and pinion so they will jump teeth easier than say 3.23 or 3.42.:)

And say how hard you were launching and if on radials or not. Usually a 10 bolts won't go out unless there is over 400rwhp or it is being launched at high RPMs.

Also I think i've read that rather bigger gears hurt the manual cars differential more so then the autos.

Stock engine, Green Performance airfilter, ZO6 clutch and flywheel, Energy suspension- Transimission mount, Pro 5.0 Shifter W/ LSS. Not exactly thrashed, the rear moans at high speed and "clunks" when you get on the brakes or take off to hard in 1st.

bolt on 3.4L v6, so maybe 170 hp, 200ish torqye?

3.73 gears, TA cover, 346rwhp/340rwtq, 12.8 @ 110 full weight on ET streets = grenaded 10-bolt.

Stock 10-bolt, went 12.0 on an untuned 396 and a 1.77 60' on ET Streets and never broke it.

Hey Mike, what was the best time you got out of the F-body?

I've heard of some auto car going 10's on a 10 bolt (don't know how true that is), but seems possible with lower gearing. We have customer with a stock LS1 manual with 4.11's who's broken his 10 bolt like 5 times and still wont get a damn 12 bolt or 9" ... I'm planning on going low 11's with my new setup, I'll let you know how long my 10 bolt lasts ... lol

I'm on my 2nd 10 bolt in my 3.4l....can you say :confused: lol
