AC unit removal

I want to go ahead and remove my AC unit from my firewall. I've already got my motor and trans out and just want continue cleaning the engine bay of unneed stuff. Does anyone know of a write up with photo's on how to do this. Keep in mind that I want to remove the AC but keep my heater. I can deal with no AC but not having any heat is out of the question for me. Any tips or suggestions?

Try doing a search on HVAC removal and you will get some good info.
It is damn near impossible to remove the Evap core and the box surrounding it and keep the heat function.
Once you get into the removal you will see why.

I don't think it's possible either. I was going to try it but I ended up taking the heat out too.

You would have to do a tremendous amount of fabrication to keep the heat and ditch the Evap core. There is someone on here doing it though. I dont think they are done yet though. Do some searching.
