335/35/17 Tires PLESE HELP!!OneFreakZ 01-01-2006, 03:23 AM Hey Wassup Guys Im Thinking About Buying Two 17/11 Zr1 Wheels Well My 335 Tires Fit On Those 17/11 Rims???...please Help.....thanks Injuneer 01-01-2006, 01:42 PM Do you mean "will my 335 tires fit"? Most manufacturers recommend a wheel width of 11" - 13" for that size tire. So they will "fit" on the wheels. There are a few people here who have manged to "fit" that combo on a 4th Gen (we have no idea what kind of car you are trying to put them on???). Suggestions/Helpful hints: -Add a "signature" with basic info about your car, like year, model, tranny, and any major mods. -Turn off the "caps lock".... the system edits all caps posts and produces the results you got above with the first letter of each word. Makes things hard to read. Punctuation helps too :) OneFreakZ 01-01-2006, 03:39 PM oopps my bad lol...cool im glad to hear that the wheels will fit..im putting the wheels on my 94 camaro z28,A4 tranny,k&n,electric water pump...thanks fred for the info......javier pewter2k2z 01-02-2006, 05:51 PM The tires should fit on the wheels. You might have to roll the rear fender lips so you don't ruin the sidewalls, and possibly have to do some hammering but it will be worth it! Kevin OneFreakZ 01-03-2006, 01:11 AM hey thanks for the help everybody...now my question is whats the simple way to roll in the side finders lips????thanks javier cwaldt 01-03-2006, 12:09 PM Heres a link from someone who rolled the fenders. Also there are some before/after photo's on the second page. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176718 You might be better off just buying some 315's so that you don't have to go through as much trouble. You didn't ask if the wheels+tires would fit on the car - with or without body modifications. What is the offset on the wheels? JakeRobb 01-03-2006, 02:26 PM From what I hear, 275's up front and 315's in the back will fit with no modification and no rubbing. That's a lot of rubber. Do you really need more? What are your plans for this car? Injuneer 01-03-2006, 04:42 PM From what I hear, 275's up front and 315's in the back will fit with no modification and no rubbing. Read the FAQ! Its written by someone who has actually done it. It explains that the 17x11 wheels with 315/35's need the right offset, and even then you MAY have to hammer the inner fenders, cut the protruding edge off the jounce bumper brackets, recenter the body over the rear axle, or roll the fender lips. These are all "modifications". Not everyone has to do any or all of these. There is a huge variation in the way they fit on the 4th Gens.... you can not simply say they will fit with no modification. Yes.... on one car out of five it might, but the other four people are going to be screwed if they don't expect to have to make modifications.
