I am in the process of trying to pick out a cam for my car and I have quite a few questions regarding a few of the cams I am looking at and the DCR the cams would put me at. Here is a run down of what my setup and what I am trying to accomplish. The motor is currently completely stock with 1.7 roller rockers. I am trying to choose a cam that is medium sized (0-8 degrees of overlap) that will put out 345rwhp and allow me to shift at 6300rpms. I had originally planned on running a cc305 on a 110lsa, but I have started to reconsider after reading about DCR and advance.
What is the stock DCR and what is the advance built into the stock cam?
Does anyone have the complete specs for the cc305 to do all the dcr calculations?
After reading a little bit about DCR it looks like the goal should be to come out right around 8.5.
A few of the other cams I was looking at are XE grinds and the specs would be...
224/236 112 LSA
6 degrees overlap
.570/.590 lift w/1.7
or
218/230 110 LSA
4 degrees overlap
.561/.578 lift w/1.7
I do not have specifics about the cams right now, but hopefully compcams can provide them to me before I decide to pick one. What do you guys think would be the best option for me?
Thanks
